Something very different to usual. What an unbelievable experience. I’ll be keeping an eye out on St Pat’s and Minnesota Utd all year long. I should also probably apologise for my insultingly bad singing.
Hi girl! I am from Mallorca and Real Mallorca played the final of Copa del Rey against Athletic de Bilbao the last saturday, unfortunately Real Mallorca lost at penaltis. I thought you were going to talk about that!
St. Patrick's did well in an away game! And, just so you know, it was my dream to sing and play Wonderwall with a Manc (or a group of them). A few years back, I finally did. So, when I saw you singing it in Minnesota, I was moved. Loved this video. Please make more! If you could make one on Celta de Vigo (Celtic of Vigo), I would really appreciate it! They are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year and there is a popular song [watch video on TH-cam: "C. Tangana - Oliveira Dos Cen Anos (Video Oficial)"] that was produced as part of the celebration!
So with Wonderwall, it's become a tradition to sing it after every Minnesota United win. The tradition dates back to the time that they were in the US lower leagues where one of the former coaches was in a band at one point. After every win, he'd play songs on the guitar for the players in the locker room. A video leaked out to the supporters group of all the players singing along to that coach playing Wonderwall. After their next win, the supporters sang Wonderwall to the players and it's become a tradition now.
I also heard once that when they were in danger of folding at the end of a season and a local millionaire was at a game and liked the passion of supporters singing despite this, so decided to invest which saved the team and eventually got them to MLS. Not sure on the exact details
St. Pat's also had an American player called Ryan Guy, helped them win a few big European games and also became kinda famous for his 'somersault' throw-in. Played in MLS later with New England Revolution.
Only Nieve could bring us a story about an Irish football club being invited to Minnesota to play a friendly. It wouldn't enter anybody else's head that there was a story there waiting to be told! Love it. 😀

Minnesota is being known for being “Minnesota nice” though so I doubt you’d have the same experience in other places, like Philadelphia. And kit prices for sure are exorbitant, to be fair though that top was probably the one players wear on the field, the fan replicas are closer to 90 USD which is around the 70 quid mark you’re probably used to seeing. Absolutely love the videos. Keep up the great work!

Although from the looks of it, you got around town just fine. Very different atmosphere for sure than what European stadiums are like.
Great video! Hope you had a wonderful time in our state and I liked learning more about your club
Can someone be addicted to a particular type of storytelling?
She makes great films in a unique and immediately recognisable style
Because she’s hot?
@@ojdubz2 dude the stories are awesome, thats y
@@thebrokeguy711 nah mainly bcs she’s fit
It has nothing to do with her looks
Nice, glad you got to see Minnesota!!!
Jake Mulraney: Atlanta United legend
no disprespect to jake but he was def not an atlanta united legend at all
2:10 Is that State of Soccer making a random cameo 🇺🇸😳
Don't think I've ever seen a "loo-cam" in a vlog before, so well done on breaking new ...errm... ground! Great vid as per usual.
I’m happy to hear that they’ve been able to win 3 games a row after their visit to America. I hope they visit again one day!
Nieve, you’re our Wonderwall! And St. Pats have a new fan here, love to you all x
So lovely! Thank you!
MLS is a nice experience. Wish I watched soccer or Gaelic Football in Ireland as well. 😊🎉
Did not expect Wonderwall to be the Victory song for Minnesota United....
Always a pleasure to watch your videos, hope you get to see a proper MLS match some day.
I was at the game I can believe you were there as well! I wish the weather would've been better for ya as more people would have turned out for the game making the atmosphere better. But non the less glad to have ya and hope you can sometime make it back , In the summer preferably 😂😂
Another great post from football's best correspondent -thank you.
I love seeing games like this. Teams that would never (normally) play each other get a chance to play. I would love to see Atlanta United do something like this. Also, when Jake showed on the screen I thought he looked familiar. I did a little digging to refresh my memory and verify it. That is Jake Mulraney. He played for Atlanta United a few years ago. Very cool.
Just become a bigger fan on StuntPegg with every video. Wonderful job
As a proud American with Irish heritage from Kilmihill in Clare County Ireland, this was a super cool “crossover” to see! Another banger of a video as always!
Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!! I’m a Canadian currently learning and exploring the world of futbol but I just wanted to say thankyou for your care for making these videos. It helps me to really see and understand what the sport is really about which is extremely important to me. Keep doing your awesome work!!!! (Side note, imagine if European managers and players found their way into American into their stadiums and started utilizing these facilities like no other)
Great video. I missed this game because of a family wedding but watched it on an iPad after the meal 😂. As a lifelong Pat's supporter I always enjoy when we're featured on vlogs like this. Richmond Park is an incredible place but we need something more modern now. 2 wins in the last 3 including beating the champions Shamrock Rovers last Friday. Hoping we get the better of Dundalk tomorrow night 🤞
Your lucky it didn’t snow, cheers for the visit and thank you for sharing St Pats Park with us. Lots of tradition and will go visit when I’m in Dublin next.
As a singer, you make an outstanding football reporter.
I am loving learning all about English football from your videos. And the sense of humor is both slyly subtle and razor sharp.
10 / 10 - Would watch again.
Thanks for coming! I live in Dublin and I went to see St Pats - Bohs game. It was 0-0 bore and pissing rain, but can't beat the atmosphere of local league :)
Oh my days you were at my club!! Hope you had a brilliant time in the Twin Cities.
I really did, thank you! The music murals were so wonderful
