Used MD for the first time in '95 in college. I was absolutely fascinated by the format & still use it today. Today you can create playlists, play only the music you want, in the order you want it, connect your phone to your car stereo / home stereo / random BT speakers / headphones, etc. When I was growing up, you made mix tapes -- they sounded "good" and we all made them.. Then came alone MD.. It's hard to describe how AWESOME it was that -- for the first time -- you could make a digital mix "tape" -- with the ability to erase / move / split / combine tracks.. You could even reuse them, just like cassettes, and it was all digital. This was an amazing invention, and I bought my first deck (with a portable player included) sometime in 98/99. I still have all my discs, but I'm so sad that I only ever bought ONE pressed disc... I still have a deck and a portable, working just fine. I'm sad they didn't take off here like they did in Japan.. They had some of the coolest models! And you're right -- people are taking advantage of the surge in popularity and charging extortionist prices for basic decks and the discs themselves.. Long live MD! :-)
If you get a mini disc deck with keyboard input it makes it much more efficient and enjoyable naming tracks. Then you just get an old computer keyboard with ps/2 connectors and use the short cuts in the manual. You barely touch the actual deck except to insert the disc or take it out. It makes a world of difference.

Stillthe best digital format for me
They are producing brand-new Vaporwave albums on Minidisc, it's amazing. Nice video!
They just use blank rewritable discs and paint them. Not propper read only mini discs
@@MatowixDVD-RAM??? HD-DVD???
@@Matowix Exactly -- there are no proper pressed MDs being made.. Haven't been in many years.
Interesting. I use them, almost daily, but only for the last couple of years. My channel is Minidisc focused.
good tracks on the smackdown game :)
10:08 that sound's like the Head is not alligned to a good position of the azimuth? (no Treble from this Tape) allign this first if you make a copy.
Oh my god that Smackdown intro.
Is the machine below your MD deck a CD player?
Yes. With a rack mixer below that xx
You say that no one uses minidisc, but I use it everyday and I have been since 1992....
Turntable dust cover ... Scratch, Scratch
Записывать музыку из видеоигр? Не думал, что этот мир настолько жесток.
