Hi Mark - wow ... another great video! Thank you 😁 - I had this idea a while ago, and a few 'false starts' as I tried creating a puzzle using the rule set. Your solve was perfect - you caught every hint, in the right order. I'd love to see other authors try their hand with these rules - I think there's a bit more opportunity here.

...and another great puzzle, again immediately translated in *STL* and published on *Cosmic Tube,* with an introduction by my favourite augmented astrophysicist, who explained the meaning of the Terrestrial expression _"thinking outside the box."_
By the way, she calls it *4-D* thinking and trained it in the kindergarten, but loved this puzzle whole-three-hearthedly and whole-three-mindedly.

44:34. Very compelling puzzle. Pretty much a lot of put in candidates and delete but also remembering to delete against the cage restrictions. Enjoyable. Love the ruleset ! 10/10

That was great fun 👍🏻👍🏻 - a bonkers ruleset, but surprisingly tractable if you take it steady and work through everything carefully and remember that digits in the virtual cages can't repeat - finished in a smidge under 40 minutes despite some minor distractions.

I loved this puzzle! Cool rule constraints. I particularly liked the 27 cages which give the total of all the other cells in the box so it does give its own total in a roundabout way of subtracting 45 from itself. Fun puzzle 😍

40:52 for me. Super cool ruleset that led to some clever logic being employed. Got stuck right at the very end for about 4 minutes trying to figure out how to place the remaining 4s and 9s in the bottom 3 boxes until I remembered I had one last box clue and that disambiguated them perfectly. Awesome!

The puzzle gets much easier when you ask where the 7 or 9 in R6C1 goes in box 5. It can't be in C4 since they're a 789 triple for the 27 cage. Therefore it's in R4C6 placing the 6 and 8 in box 5.

45:45 not as difficult as I expected
for any colorblind solvers out there: the only red cages in the grid are the 27 cages in box 3 and 7, and the 45 cages in box 1 and 9, all of the others are green

    Cosmic-class construction and excellent solve.
Thank you to both *HalfBakedLunatic* and Mark
    👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
By the way, *HalfBakedLunatic's* idea to immediately remove *3* from _"the spotlights"_ of the grid by means of 1-cell cages was the cherry on top of the pie (which can be only understood by CTC fans 🤣).
Also, *Mark's* idea to use the *Pen tool* to draw the 45-regions was a very effective trick to make notation easier to read (see video @18:57) 😏👍. I must remember this trick for future use.

In my imagination, *Cosmic Tube* is telepathically available on the *Cosmic Wide Web* via *InterSnet* (Intergalactic Sophonic Net), and cosmic-class puzzles from *Hearth* have trillions of viewers in my galaxy. 😂
*Hearth* is connected by means of *Trisolarian* sophons (😉), but you need to be endowed with the whole set of (conceptual and multi-sensorial) telepathic genes to "watch" it.
You guessed it: currently, only scientists belonging to the *Intergalactic Society of Exobiology* are using it on Earth, and some augmented humans who moved to other planets can connect, but they are not allowed to come back to Earth due to a Costitutional law adopted by the *Cosmic Union* that prohibits its members from _"interfering with the natural development of primitive alien civilizations."_ 😜

  • @jinkela7295

Rotational pairs: If you swap the 2's and 5's in columns 7 and 9, and then swap the 4's and 9's in the bottom 3 rows, the grid will be rotationally symmetrical, with rotational pairs being 3-3, 1-5, 2-4, 7-9 and 6-8. To achieve this, change the 5 cage in box 9 into an 8 cage, and change the green 18 cage in box 8 into a 23 cage. (Not sure whether the solution will still be unique or not.)

I had over a third of the grid filled in (33 cells), and 14 more cells down to 3 or fewer candidates, when I ran into a contradiction and couldn't find my mistake. So I just decided to watch the puzzle now instead of waiting until I had solved it. There, I discovered my error, having a single corner wrong (one cell too high) in one of the 15 cages in the middle box. Unfortunately, that came about pretty early in my solve, so I would have nearly had to start over to fix it. So today, I'm just watching.
