WOW! You really made me think I could actually make a jacket following your great tutorial! You are a born teacher Mimi! Thank you so much for sharing! 👍❤
Love this entire striped outfit. The elongated jacket and mid-calf gauchos are very slimming. Although, the gauchos may require more fabric than a skirt of the same fullness. Pros and cons may occur with every outfit, but a few minor changes may enhance the look.
I was hoping to see if the armpit should be full or fitted. But you dont say. It looks fitted. Also glad I watch this and found out the errors in the instructions. Also, a commenter mentioned some other errors.
Hi! Just made the jacket and I'm in love! Are there any plans to make a video for the tank top included in this pattern set? I'm struggling to attach the facings and I would love to see how you do it. I can't seem to find any other vidoes on youtube that attach stretch facings in the same style you indicate in the pattern. Thanks!
Always a pleasure watching your tutorials, Mimi. You're very detailed and that's a good thing, especially for a new sewist, you're the best, Darling!!!
WOW I came on here to view the video for the pattern instructions concerning the “understitching” of the front and facing. The instructions are not exactly clear. This video makes no mention of that step at all and now I find out I have done the collar totally wrong as I followed the pattern instructions.
What weight interfacing would you recommend for a jacket such as this? I'm pretty new to sewing and the different interfacing weights are a little confusing - deciding which one to choose! I'm guessing the collar would need a heavier weight interfacing but I just wanted to make sure - thanks!!
Dane Johansen - On the back on the pattern envelope it tells you what kind of interfacing to use. In this case, lightweight fusible, such as Pellon. Happy sewing.

Fyi
Jacket pieces 11 and 18 only show sizes 18 and 22. Am i missing pattern pieces?
If I'm plus size would I have to draw bigger patterns ?
