Wow how I wished I could have sneaked in to their rehearsal ! @@leo1314ok Oh no, I think that both Alan and John disliked 'Marguerita Time.' And that includes me. Jeff Rich by far the worst drummer in Quo's history. It was almost as if he was trying to play every song to see how fast he could get to the end of it. As a result the music lost all of its power and driving energy. The very thing that made it what it was. Just slow down man ffs.

Quo are awesome live. A proper rock ‘n’ roll band with no gimmicks or tech trickery!
There's only one Quo: The Frantic Four 🤘
and this wasnt them
Thanks for sharing!
There's no life or live without Quo!
I love quo more than 40 years...Rick i miss you so
This is tight Unbelieveble !!
I love Rick’s guitar sound round 15.20
No Quo drummer has ever equalled Jeff's technicality!
Hear hear
Quo drumming has nothing to with technique, It's all about feel and Jeff just didn't get it, But as you say a technically great drummer
Huh? What a load of tosh. Matt Letley was by far the most advanced drummer they had technique wise
Nor matched his perm 😂 In all seriousness- a legendary drummer!
Agree, Matt was the best..! @@NothingToDismay
RIP Ricky.
Another gem. 😊 thanks 🙏
Absolutely brutal. Quo stopped being Quo in 1976.
they didn't
Perhaps 'Margerita Time' was the start of the decline. Didn't Alan or John hate it so much that one of them left.
No!@@deejohn1659

What’s the first song?
Vocals need turning up. The later performance is on TH-cam too somewhere and Rossi’s vocal is straining.
how did Francis Rossi get them kex so high that they werent around his neck ?
looks like he'd got to a 38" waist by that time
The best live lineup in my humble opinion.
Can't beat the frantic four I'm afraid. It stopped being Quo when Coghlan and Lancaster left. Having said that I did like Matt Letley on drums!
They were about int eh 40s back then... now into the 70s..

Ricks needs down a key or2, vocal wise… still excellent 👌
Jeff was so explosive. Best they’ve ever had!
Totally agree....a live wire
Wonderful, greatings from Berlin/Germany
What was this for?
Status Coke.
jeff Rich always looked like a starstruck kid and his playing had no heart or soul...I'ce heard it described as clinical...very apt
Bruce Linton looks like he belongs with Guns n Roses
@@kevinjames7012 That's what I always thought , an east coast USA pop shaker, not Quo.
Jeff Rich was far too technically good for Quo. So his performance always came across as over cooked..
I thought he was technically the best Drummer Quo ever had...
Yeh. I agree. Just not raw enough for a rock and roll band.
Status Quo vor ever
status quo for ever
I still hate Rhino's bass , it screams pop every time.
That's the instrument now, not his playing.
Say what you like... Status Graphite basses are awesome.

Criminally underrated was this lineup. Jeff Rich has been claimed didn't really "fit in". What a load of tosh. This version of Quo was ACE
Horrible,limp sound
The quo have never had a terribly raw sound. It’s always been “chunka chunka” holiday camp stuff for the masses?

Rhino is/was far more technically adept than Nuff ever was. I guess he was probably a lot easier to work with into the bargain.
Utter crap
Bloody keyboards ruined the sound.
Quo were never exactly Black Sabbath in the first place? The sound was deliberately toned down to appeal to the Kevins and Shirleys
what a fucking stupid comment!!!!! Andy Bown has been with Quo for years and a well known and respected musician in his own right
I still can't believe they put up with that drummer, he sucked all the soul out of Quo. Speeded them up and lost the rock n roll.
Ffsjeff is the worst drummer quo have ever had, Pete kircher was always the best
I always thought Pete's drum sound was insipid. After John, I think Matt was the best replacement drummer
Pete had a snare sound like a tramp pissing on an empty crisp packet..
