My first impression of Team Gai way back 2006 were chinese kung fu students. Lee is obviously influenced by Bruce Lee. Neji seems to be using tai chi and chi blocking techniques and Ten Ten as weapons master. But all of these potentials were wasted by Kishi in the manga and anime… sorry to say…
@@cupidok2768 Team Gai (the group in the video) is based on Chinese martial arts. Hence why there's a Bruce Lee inspiration, baghua-taichi fighting style, and many of the Ten-Ten's weapons are Chinese based. Lee and Ten-Ten are also archetypal Chinese names.
I know i'm stating the obvious, but these three are the true definition of hard work. Team seven may claim that they work hard, but at the end of the day, they're all talented individuals, Sakura was probably the only one who worked hard to get her monster strength. Sasuke and Naruto mainly relied on overpowered Jutsu and power-ups.
I agree. While Neji does have natural advantages, Rock Lee works extremely hard and got to where he is by sheer effort and tenacity, and although we don't see much of her I'm sure it is the same with Ten Ten. I like that it showed her a mistress of weapons.

Rock Lee is based on Bruce Lee, so I think they did it to honor his inspiration. Another character who is based on Bruce Lee is Hitmonlee from "Pokemon" (Hitmonchan is based on Jackie Chan).

I think the reason that Ten Ten didn't get much attention in the series is because there are so many characters. The DC Comic "Legion of Super-Heroes" had the same problem. The Legion at it largest had 25 members, and due to that many characters were given the short shrift. An example of this is Dream Girl, it was over 40 issues before I finally got to see her in an issue...a small part in a backup story. Eventually the issue was reduced by the writer (Paul Levitz) having several subplots going on at the same time, and also having characters who hangout together within the Legion (Shrinking Violet and Lightning Lass, Phantom Girl and Shadow Lass, Blok and Timber Wolf). Consider "Naturo": I'm going to guess that there are over 30 regular characters (I haven't read/seen the whole series yet but I'm slowly getting there), plus many supporting characters, not to mention the opponents. Due to that it is likely that some characters were left to fade into the background, and that is what likely happened to Ten Ten. Related is the fate of Chuck Cunningham (Richie's older brother) on "Happy Days", who disappeared and was completely forgotten to the point that his father later only mentions his one son and daughter. Another character like this is Bobby Martin on the soap opera "All My Children" who went into the attic to get some skis...and was never seen again.
They could have milked the naruto series by giving off Naruto movie that focus on fan favourites undeveloped characters like Shino, Tenten, Rock Lee,... but they choose not to
I just want a game where the mechanics preserve the nature of the abilities. It is totally boring to see a Hakke Rokujuu Yonshou (64 palms) that doesn't block or damage the enemy's chakra. I don't know how it works on this game.
I think a problem with the abilities of the members of the Hyuga Clan is that they don't display much visually. My understanding is that the damage their blows create is internal and not visible to the regular eye. One possibility is whenever a member of the Hyuga Clan is in a fight their opponent has special damage markers that are only visible to us (the audience) and the Hyuga fighter. As the fight progresses, all of the indicators are blue but when one is struck it turns red, indicating that it has been disabled. If my understanding is correct, please correct me.
I wish KishiTmoto treated the younger members of Team Gai with this much respect, instead of bringing Dai into the picture for no reason other than his severe Daddy issues, wasting two whole chapters on a f ing useless flashback in a series that didn’t need any more father figure nonsense bullcrap BECAUSE HE SHOULD HAVE FOCUSED ON NARUTO’s GENERATION MUCH MORE IN SHIPPUDEN instead of his senseless, lengthy, useless flashbacks!

the new Neji(Great Ninja War) actually does damage the chakra, by literally blocking the enemy's ability to use skills and dodge.
