If you drop the raft's taming-pen into the water and leave render once you have trapped it, then the pyromane doesn't slip out of the raft. As it stands in water in the trap, you can easily go into the trap, damage it, and start riding it right from the trap. Good job!
Congrats on the tame. How they work is the fire icons on the right of the screen are top one for fueling anything that takes gas(campfires, forges, grills) but it comsumes more meat to power. The bottom icon is for flame thrower but it's not infinite you have to charge it by consuming flames when it's red it means it's out of flames it's the same bar that fills up red when your riding it and consuming flames.
They also turn cooked meat and cooked prime meat into jerky. There poop when spoils turns into charcoal. I am going to move my pyromane from my other tames and give it its own dung beetle. Make sure the dung beetle isn't on wonder and see if it will pick up the pyromanes poop without turning it into fertilizer.

I used an Argy, an ascendant pike and assorted drop armour to kite them across to the more chill island then jumping off the Argy into the shallower water. Just fly close to the water to hold aggro. TBH, shocked it worked
This is when a flyer comes in handy. Glad you figured it out why to go Axe. It would have awesome if you would have used the Pyromane to level it up against the Alpha conno and rex's.
Personally I enjoy the hell out of this game so I do not mind at all them putting in creatures you have to pay for as long as they use the money to benefit the game
Agreed. I have many (too many😂) hours in ark and the game costs less than a dinner and a movie, pyromane cheaper than a coffee at Maccas, I can't complain. I enjoy Ark for much longer. Even the grind for wood for fuel at the base is less now. I love it.
Theres a Island near were the Pyromanes spawn that Syntac(he'll have to tell you were) went to thats always full of Turtles and Trikes. Best place to tame one.
Axe, you should breed 2 opposite gender heavily mutated OP Pyromanes and if you keep one gender on your shoulder and ride the other, you'd be unstoppable. I don't have a Pyromane, so I'm not sure if the mate boost works like that, but I think the power would be amazing

what I did was I built a raft with a submerged trap so when its trapped in raft its doused. then I take it to the mainland where I built a holding pen that I filled with trikes and turtles. then I just jump in with pyro pike it till it roars hop on open the gate and jump in the pit. max level tame took 30 seconds easy peasy you just gotta prep first.
You got a good balance of stats with those pets, amazing job doing the tame. Can your mono do the sleep thing that heals them? You can make them small and toss them off in the house make a camp fire out of them. Do they burn wood into Carbon??
I hope the next paid creature is some kind of wolf cause there are loads of mods and official cat like creatures but only 1 wolf well 2 but we won't get fenrir for a while

Their flame colors are based on their color IDs. U can get some pretty cool looking ones, with green flames or purple

Watching axe try to do a flame leap was painful. And axe you should keep raw meat (both regular and prime) in the pyromane inventory at all times.

There is an amazing spot to build near here it has a small pond in the front and Is safe

Syntacs raft was cheaper to make and was as effective . So I recomend to copy his build as it more resource friendly.
