Two seconds? I can feel the tension build in his forearm from my seat at home, and I'm clenching up slightly every time myself - I have been conditioned to brace for impact. It *is* hard to resist, like John Ryan mentions - but some are better at resisting the urge of the impulse than others, and looking at the record...
@@jpryan90 you get additional gold, better card selection and on lower ascensions you have a lot of health youre not using anyways, so fighting elites is always worth it.
You really do under value loop. That power is amazing. I would love you to try a custom run with 5 loops and see how destructive can a single channeled orb be with 5-10 passive triggers each turn.
Artifact should totally block the tangle monster's Parasite debuff. I know it's kinda the same as the slimes' slimes, on principle, but the magnitude is way higher, and it isn't like artifact gain is SUPER common/easy.
I din't understand why he thinks Streamline is expensive early. Stirke is 1 energy for 6 damage, Streamline is 2 energy for 15 damage. It's better from the first time you play it and it only improves, plus if you want to upgrade things it gets even better since you upgrade 1 card vs 2.
To be fair, you really dont want to be comparing cards with basic strikes and defends, which are almost literally the worst cards in the game. It's better to compare them to other cards that you have or could likely pick up So for your example, you say it does over twice the damage of two strikes. That's true, but compare it to maybe a core surge, which is 1 energy, 11 damage, and an artifact. Or you could compare it to a more common card in Ball Lightning, which costs 1 energy, deals decent damage, and also summons a lightning orb. In certain runs, ball lightning would fit much better in a deck than streamline That being said, you are right that NL underrates streamline in my opinion. Playing it a single time at a dubious energy cost is worth how incredible it gets after that, I think. I just mean to say that your reasoning for why streamline is good isnt the best
@@EvanWantsSoup I think you need to compare it to what you have when it's offered, not what you might get in the future. Floor 1 you gotta grab some decent attacks to get your killing power up, not hold out for the perfect deck.
Just had to reply to this one as it made me so frustrated, in this run it reli feels like he is killing himself each encounter particularly with those mobs that scales by just putting up enuf blocks rather than putting out dmg, at the end he just ends up taking more dmg, any thoughts? Am i wrong to feel this way for this run? Secondly he had 900 plus gold, he should have considered spending more at the shop? Or did he, maybe he did...
NL you don't understand Neon, fusion would be hell to try and make work for the achievement. Just take a meteor strike and madness then get enough holograms to go infiinte.
Hey NL! Good plays my dude, I would reccomend a loop and recursion for no relic runs dude. It really picks up the damage potential for the run.

Yeah, I was really impressed. He actually appeared to think about his plays consistently for once. It was a shame that the 1 armor short on the buffer trigger caused him to die at that point - if only he had played electrodynamics instead of the dark orb, in order to evoke another frost orb, maybe he would have gone all the way.
1 He thinks we watch him only for gameplay not laughs. 2 10:25 pure video tension. 3 dual normality , 3rd floor one store equals dying rich and another video. :)
I found the 999 block easy to acquire by getting barricades, and entrench in Act 1. Enemies later on tend to do too much damage to set up a good amount of block.
Please, can we get the madman to realize that even one upgraded defend card and a thin deck, doesn't even matter what it is, it can even be steam barrier, is worth more than steam barrier, glacier, leap, 2 charge batteries, and coolheaded (taken for defense like a madman)? Money should only ever be used to remove cards and leftover cash should be spent on something useful, don't just spend 200 gold on a relic that might be handy at some point, cutting a freaking strike is worth more than that. IMO, the only snap buy relics are clockwork souvenir and... Lee's waffle if you're low on HP.

NL, you don't *have to* take the relic after fighting the Act 1 Boss in the Act3 event, you can just fight the boss and skip the relic.

Question: why is taking 2 run-ending normalities when you could fight the boss - arguably more conducive - and just not take the relic?

NL, try to change the relic at the beginning for a Boss relic. Getting a energic relic makes this achievement a lot easier. Except fusion Hammer.
