Not just your version but also the movie. Anakin should’ve had a RED lightsaber.
If you don’t have one, I’ll understand THAT but I don’t get why Anakin didn’t want a red lightsaber in Star Wars 3. Probably to make padme think the Jedi betrayed but he should’ve had a secret one.

I guess, But it was explained that in order for lightsabers to be red, the user needs to bleed the crystal. In the film, Anakin hadn't truly gone to the darkside until his Sith Eyes appeared. Plus in comics, it was said Vader had a tough time making a red lightsaber. Also In order to stick to the Canon, Anakin's lightsaber needed to stay blue so Luke could use it.
