Hi! Love that you have updated everyone, I did miss you. For me, since the beginning of February, I have been off social media, other than TH-cam where I watch mainly quilting videos. I check notices on Facebook basically for my neighborhood and now my church is doing a read and learn along with Facebook videos. I love not being on social media since I was using social media as the main connection with people and instead of living my life, I was living through others and spending a lot of time throughout the day checking to see what everyone was doing. It just seemed like a false connection. Sounds like you are trying hard to work out a great balance. I hope you post occasionally on TH-cam as I’m off Facebook and Instagram.
Yes, that's a true balance act. Online can be good but there is nothing like real face-to-face interaction.
I had said to my niece last week....I still miss Stacy. Within hours of your return she and my daughter both messaged me...."She's back!" You are one of the few real deals in the social media world.

It is amazing how quickly we adjust. It was a lovely surprise when you popped up in my feed again, and wonderful to catch up with your lives. Seeing your home and garden is like being part of your family again. The kids have grown so much ❤

Love hearing this update!! I thought of you many times while putting tea tree oil into my laundry 😂, and I realized I missed seeing your posts. It is also encouraging because we’ve been doing much of the same stuff and the enemy tries to creep in and tell me we’re wasting our time not doing “bigger” things, when this home life IS the biggest thing right now. So thank you. ❤
Also curious, do your family Bible studies look different on Awana nights? We don’t get home until bedtime those evenings, so just wondering how another family handles it.

I am so happy to see you back, and loved seeing what you guys have been up to over the past 400 days. I started following your blog back in 2011 when I was pregnant with my second child. It was when people told me no way could anyone afford to be a stay at home mom anymore. I was determined. I discovered your blog, learned how you paid off your debt. I never developed a side hustle. Instead I was inspired by your homemaking. How you cooked from scratch, shopped second hand, created a beautiful home but always living within your means. You showed me that a good life doesn't cost a lot of money. Through you I learned to put God first, then my family. I credit you for deepening my relationship with God and raising my children in Christ, and for becoming a better wife and mother. I wasn't raised that way, and now I homeschool even though no one in my personal life did that either. You showed me how to do that too. TH-cam is the only social media (other then Pinterest) that I use and I'm grateful to see you on this platform. You have been missed, and I can't wait to see where God is leading your family now.

How do you make your laundry soap?
I don't - I use Molly's Suds and just store it in the glass container for ease of use.
We love AHG! My daughter joined in 2020, best decision we ever made. Thank you for sharing all the things you enjoyed when you were away, just remember...don't give it up! I have made that mistake and regretted it. Keep carving your own path as a woman and as a family.

My boys LOVE Roald Dahl and also Beverly Cleary book. Especially the Runaway Ralph books. They also love Dogman and Cat Kid Comic Club.
Annie is 13 and is almost done with the Enola Holmes mystery series and she really loved it. She also loves the Keeper of the Lost Cities books.

When I "only" had 4 kids, my second born was 3 I did an interview and asked her "what do mama's do" and we have a now infamous family video of her saying, "a mama does laundry, and more laundry, and more laundry and moooooore laundry" :D #alwaysdoinglaundry
