Yeah these are really fun to do (and actually easier to edit). But they're really interactive and more spontaneous. I started doing them kind of by accident. I did a Halloween marathon video back in October (6 of the movies) and really enjoyed it and got the idea to keep doing movies that way occasionally. Nice way to mix things up.
Drumdums Yeah it's a cool concept. I thought about doing commentary vids but I wasn't confident people would actually watch them. Maybe after my subscribers grow a little more.
Yeah that's kind of what I did. The DDWatches works well because you don't have to do a full commentary...just specific scenes that you think are valid. And you can mix it up and be spontaneous...show the audience something they're not expecting...or even give some occasional shout-outs.
Hey!! Thanks for the shout out (LeeVing45). Great video. This was my first R rated movie I saw in a theater. I was 9, my brother 10/11, and my mom dropped us off had to buy our tickets and walk us to the usher for them to let us see it. We had been watching the first 2 in the series on VHS rentals for a while before, so for some reason my parents were fine with this. I do think I prefer Nightmare 3 just over part 1 for this reason...just more personal memories around seeing it for the first time.
Fabulous video as usual! Thank you SO much for my first ever shout out, I will treasure this video forever. You are the best horror reviewer, Drumdums. Keep on rocking!
Great video Lee! I really do enjoy watching #drumdumswatches :) Keep it up! I've said once and i'll say it again lol freddy krueger scared me to death out of me as a child haha and this is actually one of my favorite films of nightmare on elm street :) Awesome!
Fantastic watches and video buddy. I love "Dream Warriors". One of the best in the series!!!! Thanks for the shout-out buddy. Enjoy the Jeepers Creepers set!!!
I loved this Drumdums Watches episode so much! It is one of my favorite movies ever and the way you are making this kind of video is getting more and more interactive! I love that you share with us experiences about going the see masterpieces like Dream Warriors in their opening nights! Thanks for the shout out, sorry I said "hi Lee", the correct is "Hey Lee", right? hi + name sounds weird... And you said my last name perfectly!
Best of the series! The director let Robert England improv every kill line in the movie. They were brilliant lines but it made fans jump on the Freddy train sort of speak; and when you as a viewer/fan start to pull for Freddy it takes anything scary about the rest of the series completely out. It happens to all our favorite slasher guys. The big problem is how do we keep these awesome movies on the edge of your seat scary. Still though Dream Warriors was my all time favorite Nightmare on Elm Street.
Drumdums Watches is awesome bro. I can't say enough about this movie, this has some of the best one liners & most creative scenes in horror history imo. I'm addicted to Nightmare 3, the movie is just as good as Halloween imo. When he's the worm and looks at Nancy I still get chills, and when he kills her and she screams. It's the religious film of the series but it works well. I wish they would do the concept of a beaten down Freddy where kids go to sleep to fuq with them. I can't believe this movies 30yrs old, if the new nightmare & Halloween are anywhere near this great I would die a happy man. Another dope video bro, I fuqin love Drumdums watches haha. You're awesome Lee!
Yeah where does the time go? I still remember vividly seeing this movie in theater. I sat pretty close to the front row too so Freddy was really creepy haha.
Another great DrumDums watches. Love the dueling drumsets! Thanks for the IG shoutout - kennvy_vegas here. I really want to watch part 1 & 3 now. I might need to buy the set. Great fun and great video Lee!
So many things I want to comment on this video....first and foremost though, thanks so much for doing this with this film. Amazing film and definitely deserved a great movie reviewer as yourself to make a video of this level for it. Second, you have amazing tastes in music. I wish we knew each other irl and lived close to one another so we could jam out to the good music. My album collection is probably as big as yours, because I prefer physical copies of my entertainment, so I just hoard up on a bunch of stuff. (I've wanted to recommend this band and song to you for awhile, and I think it'd be a cool song to cover, but you should check out the song Worlds Divide by Flaw. It reminds me of Tool....maybe that's just me though.) 3rd is this movie is probably my second favorite in the franchise...right behind the original. 4th is I have a crush on Heather Langenkamp as well, and definitely feel that she's an incredibly underrated actress and final girl. 5th is I got Dokken's Dream Warriors stuck in my head now...probably be humming it all day at work now. Haha. What's kind of ironic though is the fact that I was listening to this song a lot like a week or two ago just out of the blue, and then you uploaded this. :P Anyways, I could ramble on and on about this movie, but I feel like this comment might be dragging on too long, and I don't want you to get bored of my rambling Lol. So, I'll end this comment with my hopes of you doing the rest of the films in this franchise and my wishes of you taking it easy and hoping this comment finds you in good terms. Have a great day/night and as Freddy would put it "Welcome to Prime Time, Bitch!"
Loved this comment man. Not too long at all...and thank you. I grew listening to bands like Dokken so that just makes Dream Warriors that much better for me. I've heard of Flaw. I'll have to check out that song. Thanks!
Awesome video Lee! Great job! I really enjoy these videos. Very entertaining! And thanks for the shout out to me and Iron Maiden. And yeah! You're right! I am a super Iron Maiden fanatic, lol! Not a day goes by to were I don't watch or listing to Iron Maiden! Once again, great job on the video Lee! Take care brother! :)
Another great Drumdums watches! My favorite movie in the franchise for sure! Trolls are a waste of time to even care about so don't mind them Lee. Keep these coming!
I love hearing about the hype of the time and stuff since I didn't grow up during the time they were being released. I got into these movies when I was way too young to watch them. I was born in September of '87, and I can't remember when I didn't watch a Freddy movie, but it must have been around 3 or 4 years old, not long before Freddy's Dead came out. I had a bunch of older cousins and siblings getting me into them. Been obsessed all my life, and strangely, I am the least violent person you'll meet, and I get light-headed when I see real life blood lol. But yeah, I wish I experienced the hype and the culture of the time, when the series was in its prime. The wake of it still had a huge impact as you see with me, and there's that line in New Nightmare where Heather says, "Every kid knows who Freddy is. He's like Santa Claus... or King Kong..." It's so true. It permeated pop culture, to even as far as now I think. Rick and Morty did a parody.
Hi Lee another fantastic video once again, thanks for the shout out and looking forward to your next one, and i agree with Gtaviper 115 try and do Fright Night soon.
yea the puppet one got me too! and did you notice the fact that Freddy doesn't say a one liner when the puppet kid died? but everyone else got a one liner?
Alriiiiight! This Nightmare On Elmstreet: Dreamwarriors is the first movie in this installment that I watched as a child. I remember sleeping with the lights on that night when I went bed! GOD, I was so terrified..... The beginning when that girl is making that doll house out of that guuuey stuff (made from flour)----ah! I soooo remember that beginning!
Man I saw this movie and the Hitcher (Most slept on 80's horror movie) in 6th Grade when our teacher let us watch it. It was one of those last day of school before break things. I have no idea how she didn't get fired. HAHA
The score is done by Angelo Badalamenti, who went on to do Twin Peaks and other David Lynch films. If they ever remake ANOES again, they really should convince him to do it. He'd probably say no, but a man can wish. There was a comic that took place around the time between this movie and Freddy's Dead, and it's pretty good. Features Nancy as a kind of anti-Freddy. Would have loved to see that movie.
I remember taking a break from the Franchise after part 2 (funny thing is I did the same with part 4) then I found myself watching VH1 Classic and Dream Warriors by Dokken came on. I had no idea what this was but I was intrigued then Freddy came on screen. Later I found out a Third movie exists and it has the same Title as this song. I thought to myself I have to see this. I didn't know what to expect then when Nancy showed up in that one scene I can't explain it, there was a glow inside of me. I didn't start appreciating part 2 until I sat through the other silly sequels. I can't say I like any of 4-6 but I appreciate what 5 was trying to do atleast. Again part 6 made me stop and rethink my life. I don't think New Nightmare is as good or bad as some people say but I could see myself watching it after part 3 then the Remake for a darker interpretation.
I like the polish it's the parts that look a bit off due to the polish, I suppose. Also story wise I guess the ending works but as a climax when the Demon is defeated (especially when he's built up as more powerful and scary) that didn't do it for me and some slightly goofy things here and there. The ending works fine otherwise. If I take the "Beautiful Dream Theory" into account it could work easier. Also Wes only recognizes the first movie; though he calls things out from the series it's both a good and bad choice but more to the former. I would have preferred if he recognized 3 some more. However these are mostly nitpicks. Wes perfected the idea with Scream. All that being said I remember saying FINALLY another GOOD one and it was and that's all I could expect. It's not a perfect movie but it's a step back to form and this was the only way it could've gotten back. It's certainly an idea that I think should be considered if they do a reboot of any kind in the future. Also what I heard about Wes' original script for Dream Warriors certain things would work better now than back then as far as ambition goes.
As much as I like the film one bit about the ending I didn't like was Nancy thinking Freddy was dead and it was over just because Joey smashed the mirrors by shouting even though after what happened at the end of Nightmare 1 where Freddy tricked her into thinking she'd beaten him and took his power away only to trap her in a car with dream versions of her friends he'd created to make Nancy think she'd brought them back to life so she should have known better. And when Freddy pretends to be her dad just him saying "I crossed over princess" should have gotten her thinking "My dad's saying he's crossed over so he must be dead and the last I heard him and Neil went to find Freddy's bones to lay him to rest so Freddy must have killed him when he disappeared after choking Kincaid." Unless she thought he'd drank himself to death in that pub or something.
Haven't started the vid yet, so maybe you'll mention it, but I was wondering if you'd read the novelization for this, and what you thought about the differences from the movie.
You should. Been a minute since I read it, & can't remember which I preferred, but there were a few noticeable differences from the movie. Jennifer and Philip both had dream powers, Taryn's powers were different, and she was a black girl lol. I think they toned down the humor and altered the ending too. It's actually the novelizations of the 1st three movies in one book. Honestly can't remember what, if any differences there were for 1 & 2, but overall, it's a decent read. Need to get it again myself.
Just happened upon this Lee. Dokken rules, as does this movie. Definitely an influence on Inception! 🤘Craig Wasson also rocks in Brian De Palma's Body Double - a movie you should review!
This is my favorite movie in the franchise. Having Heather come back as Nancy was a great idea. I'm also a metal and rock fan.
awesome movie! One of my all time favorites. Great video man this is my first time checking out a DrumDums Watches. Very enjoyable!

Drumdums Yeah that's why I enjoyed it so much it focuses on the highlights. Very cool!
Dream Warriors is probably the best Nightmare sequel. Its up there with New Nightmare.
Hey!! Thanks for the shout out (LeeVing45). Great video.
This was my first R rated movie I saw in a theater. I was 9, my brother 10/11, and my mom dropped us off had to buy our tickets and walk us to the usher for them to let us see it. I do think I prefer Nightmare 3 just over part 1 for this reason...just more personal memories around seeing it for the first time.
Yeah nostalgia plays a big part in my experience too with Dream Warriors. Such a classic.
This movie is definitely my favorite nightmare on elm street film.
Oh it's excellent!
Somehow I found myself binging all of your Dewatch’s. And I am soooo glad I did. 🥰 Thank you
Fabulous video as usual! Thank you SO much for my first ever shout out, I will treasure this video forever. You are the best horror reviewer, Drumdums. Keep on rocking!
Thanks man...and you keep on rockin' as well!
Great video Lee! I really do enjoy watching #drumdumswatches :) Keep it up! I've said once and i'll say it again lol freddy krueger scared me to death out of me as a child haha and this is actually one of my favorite films of nightmare on elm street :) Awesome!
Yeah Freddy always creeped me out as a kid too. He's the ultimate boogey man!
Fantastic watches and video buddy. I love "Dream Warriors". One of the best in the series!!!! Thanks for the shout-out buddy. Enjoy the Jeepers Creepers set!!!
Thank you for the set!!
I loved this Drumdums Watches episode so much! It is one of my favorite movies ever and the way you are making this kind of video is getting more and more interactive! Great points about the one- liners. Happened to most 80s iconic horror. This, to me, makes 70s horror superior over 80s horror.
@@ButterCookie1984 that's a good point about the 70's and most giallo films.
@@jonathandavis7359 Oh yes. Thanks! And I say this as an avid everything-80s fan.

Hi Lee another fantastic video once again, thanks for the shout out and looking forward to your next one, and i agree with Gtaviper 115 try and do Fright Night soon.
Great movie. Probably the second best film of the Nightmare series
Loved this video
Thanks Alex!
yea the puppet one got me too! and did you notice the fact that Freddy doesn't say a one liner when the puppet kid died? but everyone else got a one liner?
Dude! Badlands! So hard to find. I finally found the first record on vinyl.
Yeah there are so many creepy parts in this. Even when Freddy is being funny, it's still creepy.
Ugh! The "puppet" scene is definitely the most disturbing in the movie. It got to me the worst when I was a kid anyways....
Agree, as a kid it disturbed me, just the thought of that happening to your veins.
Definitely. That scene freaked me out too.
LMAO at 31:52 BARBECUE. I had BBQ earlier so can relate. Fun video love the 80s CDs and I have White Lion as well. Hahaha 🤘🏼/M\
Man I was a massive White Lion fan back in the day. So many great songs. Vito Brata!!
Drumdums YUP!! 🎸🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻
can you do one of these of part 1,2,4 and 5?
I'm definitely not against it.

Oh hell yeah! Thanks for the recommendation.
I love Dokken so much!
Me too man!
haha I can't believe you said Alan Clark is awesome!
Well you are awesome!
Kool video bro! Where's that Childs play 3 review?
I'm going to watch it today hopefully and get it out soon bro.
Those sandwiches looked AMAZING! Did they taste as good as they looked?
Yes they did. It's Cork's BBQ. You can buy them in the freezer section of most grocery stores. Better than the restaurants.
Now I'm hoping for you to do a full grown Obi-Wan beard.
nice video!!!
Thank you!
