Hi David Every fish is good sport on these rods, but if you're looking for a good flex in the rod, on a 70 cm pike, the 40-80g version is probably a better choice, and it will also work just fine for even the biggest pike :-)
If you mean vertical jigging, then we would not recommend this rod as a jigging rod, even though it would probably work fine for it, depending on how heavy jigs to think of using.

Jörgen is using a Daiwa reel in this video. We recommend to go for either a Daiwa or Shimano reels.
