Amazing explanation! Had a question relating to the ability system you created. Would it be possible to extend that to perhaps a melee/rangeed combat syste,? Since Rpg's tend to have a cooldown on abilities. Or would a combat system require a different set of logic? Lastly, will you be implementing a "combat-system" in this series :).
Definitely possible with melee- especially if you want a system where you want attacking characters to try to get behind or to the side of their target. EQS would work great for that. Yes- we're going to have a combat system but it's not melee combat- I find that, on youtube and in games generally, melee combat has been done to death. Better to, once you've unlocked the creative potential of UE, think beyond the typical. So we'll be doing something, I hope, relatively unique 🙂
@@NumenBrothers Very excited for that! One last question then, im trying to replicate a "special move". Meaning, when the user presses a button the camera will maybe spin around the character as an animation is playing? then back to its default position. What would you recommend for that?

Hey man great series thank you ! Also is it possible to make a secondary ability that activates when the first one didn’t meet certain requirements…like when trying to sprint jump with no energy will result in tripping and falling!
Thanks for this. But I have a couple of problems. First, once the AI character finds the player, the AI continuously circles the player. Looks as if there is an abort missing somewhere. Secondly, again once the AI finds the player, he continues to jump around the player
