What a minister. A world icon, has shown us all exactly how a mining industry can be destroyed in short order.
That is true we are boosting other Countries with our riches
He spoke very well we are not beggars and I think it’s the first time he gets my compliment.
it is my first also
Thank you SABC for covering the event
My minister! ❤
Well, done MR Gwede Mantashe
I like him... we need old minds like these, quiet competent and wise, white capitalist dont like cause he's witty and not a walkover or a yes man. Yes, we need a mix of young n old. I really like him, he truly believes in the uplifting of black africans so we can be in the same level as those who benefited from apartheid and general colonization!!!
The problem about us Black SAcans, is greed and incompetence, spanning from lack of EDUCATION. The ANC should've focused n put all the resources and budget for the 1st 20yrs on education. Investing in the minds and thinking of your ppl creates wealth that create a culture of excellence and social order. They wouldn't have this social grant issue and crime.
Thank you Minister.
I just want to add that our Labor force is not the easiest which also scares investors away.
how so? can you share a practical example?
By that you mean not the most docile?
@@loyisomalobola687 Strike actions are normally not peaceful, damaging property and people getting harmed. There is also a sense of entitlement with demands that are illogical in a business sense.
@@LoudHadidaonly profit is logical.?
@@LoudHadida So you believe workers protesting for just enough to get by is illogical? The mining sector has exploited South African rural miners for decades, they retire as poor as they were when they first migrated to the mines.
It's funny how nobody ever takes into consideration that in any strike there's agent provacateurs, hired by the same employers to discredit the strike. It happens everywhere & has been happening from the first time the working class started organizing...
Gwede must know that an Aid is not a business transaction but a donation freely given to the needy. Stop corruption and stealing and take care of your own people not that nonsense of R350
Thanks minister Gwede
Very informative interview, this is what we call leadership 👏
But we really look forward to young leaders that will be taking over soon 😅
Interview ??
We are free but not independent, maybe we should have fought for our independence and freedom waould have been a fruit of that independence.
Yes the Examplary is Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 and Mali 🇲🇱 not South Africa nursing the Trump Administration We immediately need Expropriation of Mines without Compensation without Apologizing for Actions of Beneficiation
No we don't. We need to negotiate and create national wealth saving structure to save wealth for future generations. You don't manage international relations by being bitter. You use your brain more than your heart. South Africa is a capitalist state with social welfare aspects. We just need to manage all our institutions better. Rhetoric does not feed the masses.
@@bonisiweviolet3841Yes we do. South African has done that since democracy and it has failed. Time to be decisive and restore the natural wealth to the hands of the natural owners. There's no "negotiations" with the west that would give us that because their stance is to maintain the status qou in Africa, where they get to exploit our resources and enrich themselves while our people are perpetually just disposable labour. That is the international capitalist agenda. The government has to grow balls and be decisive about land and mineral resources
Emotions are clearly clouding your logic.
It reflects change not age
Expropriate all the mines and place them under the Reserve bank and then after change the mandate of the bank to be developmental.
And this folks is why the investors won't pay 😂
Didn't reserve Bank manipulate rand? You should keep your comments to yourself clearly you a sellout
@lytnnng011 sellout is your mother
And where do we get the money to run the mines? Sa is broke. SAA, eskom, transnet. Do you need more examples of how state run entities work in this country?
Gwede, i wouldn't even trust you to run a sewerage farm
😂😂😂😂😂😂
No one cares. fact is he is running a mining industry while you're running your imaginations
@siphe6335 I can see this nation is compromised
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
30 years of ANC arrogance, entitlement, plundering and distruction
But it should have been done a long time ago, clearly minister know that as South Africans, we don't gain from our minerals, which could benefit our economy.
❤
Illegal mining is surely a concern 😮
He has lots of experience
Is not about returning. However the biggest question is. Is he grooming youth leaders to take over. His expertise is imperative.
Succession planning
This old man has mentioned make money a quiet a number of times.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂It is a clear sign of old age
Mantsashe he must resign and go home to stay with his grandchildren we have a young people they are educated they can do better than him...South Africa ogogo nomkhulu basuza parliament not emakhaya yahoo
Is surprising that we have Young Councillors who collapsed Municipalities and you say nothing about that, that is interesting with imisuzo yabaNtu abadala,,,,,laughing at you.
@ThandiweGulwa thank you for that response 🙏
Can this man retire already and give competent people a chance. He is a waste of tax payers money.
Competence and experience are two different things, Competence people should work in close collaboration with skilled and experience people, we can't just dump experience on dustbin this country will suffer, countries like Japan rely on skills and expertise while mentoring their competent people, in South Africa 🇿🇦 competent people think they know everything so that we could dump our experience in the dustbin and rely to their Competence doesn't work like let the skilled and experience people mentor the competent ones.
13:50 in coming here to make money you insist on extorting 30 percent of their company.
Not worth it, i can convince Australia to use my services, or botswana, or chile or china , whoever will let me build whatever it may be for the infrastructure public or private, i will set up large manufactories and obviously employ my own countrymen whom are fantastic artisans, i run a crew of 8, and not permanently, noone is investing and building to the degree that my lads work every month of the year,
Used to have over 100 people under this roof, you know, back when we maintained infrastructure as per schedule.
14:14 90 000, minister, we require 20 million permanent jobs in all sectors that pay more than crime, every poor person listening to this, i bet 90 percent of you keep believing the stories and will pass away in no better condition.
Free the public sector, rich local shareholders get shares, but without the conditions that bring investment tge average man will find no employment available and shareholders will continue seeing zero growth in any investment.
I disagree...
He needs to "go-away" so that we can have someone competent there....
Go back to Holland 🇳🇱 😩
😅😅😅😅 give me a character and qualification of competent person .This is a politician not a DG or a director or a Human Resource Manager.
You mean a white person?.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
No poor people in the gathering but always talking sh... Calling black SAns your people
He should GoWay -
Excuse me? Africa must mobilize under who? for what? Mozambique needed assistance just a few months ago you closed your borders and looked away, Congo has been bleeding for decades with Rwanda being used as a vasal of the west in order to steal their minerals no solidarity, AES no solidarity, Sudan no solidarity, but when South Africa has a problem Africa must mobilze. If you need to mobilze, go and ask your BRICS partners or your Arab partners you went to ICC for, leave the rest of Africa out of it. Dude fight your own fights the rest of Africa has it's own problems.
Yet our soldiers are dying in DRC fighting not our cause
@LithaMagazini you are dreaming, your guy's are not in the DRC for Congo but your own oligarchs interests. Go and do your own research on how many mine's your millionaire's and billionaires are involved with in the Congo.
Excuse you..South Africa is home to many Africans, especially Mozambicans and Zimbabweans. We have lots of them here, legal and illegal. Is only South Africa that was supposed to go and assist in Mozambique?
We have to share everything that we have with other people. Even our prisoners are full of foreigners, let's not mention our hospitals. Maybe if we didn't have that, the little that we have would be enough for us, without getting any funding from no one.
@@NomzamoMlindazwe-m1s the same one's you hate so much? please try sell someone else that fantasy, everyone knows how South Africans detest African migrants.
