Here is a definition of liberation by Sage Vashishta from the 'Yoga Vaashishta': Liberation is but a synonym for pure mind, correct self-knowledge and a truly awakened state. The complete absence of all desires and hopes is liberation. Until one reaches this true inner awakening or self-knowledge, one considers oneself bound and strives for liberation. Abandon these wrong notions of bondage and liberation, and become 'a man of supreme renunciation', O Rama. Then live a very long life and rule the whole world.
@@rajanmathews1 I will share you one of the paragraph from the book "Swamiji's Treasure" about reincarnations: T. Palotas, Seattle Shivabalayogi generally would not discuss prior lives, but privately on several occasions in the United States he confirmed the accuracy of the list of prior lives described in the Bhrigu Nadis and published in Swamiji’s biographies. Swamiji added that the nadis include over two hundred and fifty prior lives, of which only the most recent twenty-seven are listed in his biographies. Swamiji’s own nadis do not indicate so many previous lives, so I asked him about it in Bangalore in 1994. He said that in Ramakrishna’s Bhrigu Nadi there is a list of over a hundred prior lives which included Jesus and Mohammed. He explained that Ramakrishna’s nadi applied to Swamiji because Ramakrishna is a prior life of Shivabalayogi. Many of us wondered how it was possible for Swamiji to have been all the people listed in the nadis. Some of those people, like Lahiri Mahasaya and Ramakrishna, lived at the same time. When questioned about this, Swamiji simply responded, “One atma, many bodies. No problem.” On one occasion in Seattle, Swamiji revealed that he had incarnated during each major incarnation of God Vishnu as an avatar, which occurs every five thousand years. The last such incarnation was Krishna and the one before that was Rama. Swamiji added that he was a witness to the events described in the Yoga Vasishta when the sage Vasishta gave spiritual instruction to the eight year old Rama.
@@rajanmathews1 There are several examples of the same soul being born and having lived as two or more individuals at about the same time. One well known example is that of Lord Shri Rama and Parashurama. Both were incarnations of Lord Mahavishnu. They not only were alive at the same time, but they met each other and surprisingly Parashurama challenged Shri Rama. Swamiji explains it as follows. Ordinary beings like you and me have only one 'sookshma sharira' (astral or subtle body) each. That is why we feel it is impossible for us to be born as two or more contemporary individuals. However, Swamiji explained that Yogis and Gods have innumerable astral bodies. Astral bodies keep emanating from a Yogi or god continuously. It is with these innumerable astral bodies that gods and Yogis can manifest or be present at several places simultaneously at the same time to help many devotees. It is such astral bodies of Gods that are manifest in different idols of the same god in different temples. What happens in the case of Parashurama and Shri Rama or Lahari Mahasay and Ramakrishna Paramahamsa is that two astral bodies of the same soul are born and live as two contemporary individuals.
