I'm a massive Michael Jackson fan, but I also love Taylor. I agree, they are both pop icons, in different ways though for sure. Though we also have to remember that MJ did it pre-social media, which is a massive feat that can never be outdone. Regardless of that, they are both phenomenal in their own ways. You can absolutely put Taylor in the same category as Michael Jackson. Both started very young and reached a level of pop superstardom that very few artists will ever see. They are stylistically different but both great in their lanes. I was a teenager during the Thriller time and the mania was real. I think if MJ were still with us he would respect the hell out of T Swift.
