The fact that he’s hearting and commenting on new comments within the day on a year old video is honestly super wholesome and shows the love of the craft
I love how you share the process and experience, burns and all. It's such a clever use of electronics and mechanical pieces to create artwork. I've spent the last 50 years with electronics in my life and you have put a new perspective to it. Well done and keep it up as you have much to offer this new generation. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words, giving a new perspective on electronics and waste is exactly what I aim to do so I’m really happy to hear that!
I’ve been so interesting and in love with this type of sculpturing and even wanted to do it myself, any tips or tricks for people who want to get started? Maybe if you had the time to make a video about it that would be amazing, but if not that’s completely fine, I love your artwork
@@zakmiskrycreationsI’d love to see a video of how far you came, how you started with just super gluing and what you were able to create before being able to purchase the welder ❤
This is awesome! Have you considered getting some "helping hands" style clamps to hold pieces in place when you are welding them together? Might make things easier! Keep up the good work!
I have thought about it, I’ve got my eye on a specific one that would be perfect for the type of stuff I do but it’s pretty pricey, so I’m just waiting until I can justify the investment!
really cool! I liked the lenght of the video, I think if you go into too much detail, it will get too boring. But maybe you could do an indepth welding guide or something like that, if enough people are interested.
I love this! I thought about making one of these before but I don’t have a welder or want to risk burning myself, are there any ways to build this without welding it together, like glue or some other substitute?
Yes! Use superglue, that’s what I used for all my sculptures before I was able to get a welder. They will be a lot more delicate but if you’re careful it should be fine!
hi ! sorry for my English im still learning. i wanted to know what welder are you using ? Seems better with the one you have , you can use both hands to hold the metal sculpture, its more practical
Great stuff! Tbh I’m surprised you’re not getting more attention on these longer form videos. I think a lot of people following on ig would be interested. I’m actually here from the ig page myself
I use micro pulse arc welding, because its on a small scale, but yes in principle arc welding with a rod would work, it just would probably be more visible where you've welded!
I love seeing the proces! And the length for me is just right. I wonder, seeing this, do you glue parts before you weld? And if so, is there no risk of flames developing?
Thanks Sjiva! So to weld you need an electric current between both metal parts, which means if you glue them, the electricity can’t conduct because the glue has blocked it! So because of this if you glue parts together usually you can’t weld them
@@zakmiskrycreations Thank you! I was wonderi g this because in the last bit, when you talk about attaching the lightbulb, you mention both using welding and superglue. As the spots you weld and the parts you glue are in such a close proximity, I was wondering how that would work. Do you first weld, then glue?
@@sjiva7061 so for this what I did was I glue the nuts to the bulb, and then weld those nuts to the thorax, because there’s no glue between the nuts and the thorax I can still weld it! Like this bulb -(glue)- nuts *weld* thorax
Really cool Video, the creativity is off the charts with your designs. Outside of the Prints on your Website, do you actually Sell the piece's you've made? Or only commissions?
Should do, but the welds will just be more obvious as it probably can’t get quite as small! But if anything I reckon a normal welder would actually be easier - you can just grind down any excess after
What kind of welder did you originally to start off with because I don't think I could buy a five thousand dollar welder lol and I'm very interested in trying to make some art similar to yours as it looks fantastic!
Originally I was using just superglue, I’ve only had the welder for the past year, it was a big investment but necessary for a big commission I got. With just superglue they’re more fragile but it’s all I used for about 9 years!
Thank you! I built this slowly over a few months, but that was mainly because I was super busy, I think back to back it would’ve been about 3-5 days! (The welding takes a very very long time haha)
@Zak Miskry Sculpture nothing wrong with a long project. Makes the final product feel like a giant accomplishment. I'm going to start saving some money and try to get into welding like this. What your doing is awesome. Keep up the inspirational work 🫡

Hello from France. Do you use gaz with your welding machine or special welding rods? Thank you for the video
Hi yes I use Argon gas!
Thank you love what your creating !,,Was the spot welder a reasonable price and is it easy to use
Thanks! The welder is easy to use, but very pricey, so not what I would recommend for hobbyists/beginners!
Does this work in arc welding machine with an attached welding rod it seems hard
