I really felt a lot of sympathy for this boss. We get to know him in the past, back when he wasn't a villain. Then when we find him in the arena, he is lying face down, seems to be in emotional pain. And when we almost defeat him, he tells us to finish him off, because they will never forgive him. I can't honestly look at him as a villain and would love a redemption story for him.

Yellow Wind Sage is my favourite boss in BMW, he's a solid roadblock for earlygame and his moveset is awesome. Once you get the rhythm of his attacks, they become a whole lot less intimidating and it feels so exciting to fight him. Beating him first time was so thrilling, and replay fights in New Game are great. His lore is great as well, such an interesting character. Also this theme rocks, especially the motif at 1:03.
Funfact: Wukong and his friends couldnt beat the yellow wind sage in the original journey to the west and needed bodhisatva Linjis help. This means that the destined one by chapter 2 is stronger than Journey of the west Wukong during the rat sage arc in the novel
A very intimidating villain and the music goes with it. Watching him bang the drums and eliminating Fuban beforehand, further enforces the fact that he's more than just a giant weasel. He's a demon too
This song tells the tale of Yellow wind sage , he was a justice Yaoguai hero in the past and helped the kingdom defeat Fuban to protect people there. But after being taken away by Lingji for attacking Tangsanzangs , his subordinates were killed and his people were turned into rat Yaoguais. He felt despair and disillusionment when he saw Wukong the greatest Yaoguai persecuted by heaven court. He fell for the pursuit of power , then became the boss we met. A story of tragic hero turns into a villain.
Yellow Wind Sage is my favourite boss character so far, he is truly a tragic figure who set out to do good but because he is a yaoguai his efforts are not deemed worthy and ended up living long enough to become the villain...😢
How do you extract this ubrelease theme? Because in oficial thene the bosses soundtrack it's diferent from his ingamen soundtrack From the game archives?

He actually didn’t even die you can see it when bodhisatva linji when he ruinited with its head
That's not true as getting all secrets is cannon therefore destined one can cancel out the rat's wind
the music tells the story itself, finally the sky cut clear, but the sacrifice is huge, Yellow Wind Sage is also a SAGE!!!😢

Similar to what happened to Wukong, except Wukong never gave up on his dream to bring equality to the realm and stayed true to himself.
