    I had to re-watch the first 5 min or so because I was trying to figure out if there was some sort of optical trickery or if he really can write that well backwards! I'm impressed!

      Glad we got that straight. I was freakin out! However, we're all in trouble if he computes a curl, as the handedness of the cartesian axes has also been flipped!

      I think the trick is the presenter is writing on the glass and there is a mirror behind the glass and they are filming from the mirror. sequence is presenter-glass-camera-mirror

      Wouldn't the camera be visible in the mirror then? I'm more convinced by the flipped picture explanation.

    you are a legend. I remember learning basic numerical analysis from your videos. So I was looking for an introduction to POD's and the first thing that came to my mind when I saw that you have a video on it was "yep, sorted, I will understand this one"

    Is the Burgers equation wrong? Maybe the diffusion term should be on the RHS?

    The first and second derivatives at 11:36 are supposed to be approximate but not equal to the schemes you came up with.
