    I bought my si in June, I have since put a few thousand miles on it. And I personally love the car. It is fun to drive, it has good pick up, gas mileage is great, shifting and changing gears is a dream. (although the clutch is extremely light, it took me a few weeks to get used to it) I have the coup version. I don't personally like the looks of the sedan. But I really feel this car and the engine is under rated by a lot. Which I expected going in when I purchased it. Is it loud? No but the sound you get is nice. It has a nice sound to it and is a bit more meatier then you expect. It also does not have that annoying whine to it that previous gens had. I really enjoy this car. And for the price I feel it is more then worth it. This is not a sports car. It's a car that packs a little more punch, will retain its value. Honda is known for makng cars that last well in to the 200××× mile mark. And that's exactly what this car is designed to do. They toned these cars (And the previous models down) for that exact purpose. You should give this car a test drive before you complain. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. I am very happy with my purchase. I love everything about this car.

    They're starting to make the design of these Hondas a lot nicer. A friend of mines got a '13 SI Coupe and it's pretty clean! As a company I think Honda's always had a reputation for making safe, reliable cars, but as far as sportiness, I can definitely see they're starting to step their game up! Btw, when are you gonna get your hands on a new Type-R?

    Buying Brand New Chevy Cruze Makes me Sad
    Dear car customers around the world:
    I bought a brand new Chevy Cruze, manual transmission, on December 10, 2016. One day after (December 11, 2016), while the car was parked at the curb, it rolled down the road hitting another car on its way down. I am sure that I had engaged the parking brake, indicated by the “!” symbol displayed in red on the instrument panel.
    I’ve been raising to General Motors Corporation (GMC) this question - why is it that the said Cruze, in neutral transmission, rolled down the slope even though the parking brake symbol, “!” (in red color), is displayed on the car’s instrument panel?
    The GMC explained that: “by design intent, the parking brake warning lamp on the instrument panel (!) will illuminate with the brake lever is raised to the first detent position (first audible click). However, this warning is not an indicator that the parking brake has been fully engaged. Specifically, the Chevrolet Cruze Owner’s Manual Instructs the owner to pull firmly (on the lever) without pressing the release button, in order to engaged the parking brake correctly. The primary purpose of illuminating the park brake warning lamp, even when the parking brake is not fully engaged, is to prevent the operator from driving the vehicle with parking brakes partially engaged.” (letter sent to me by GMC dated April 11, 2017).
    I disagree with the above explanation by GMC. I maintain that a technical deficiency persists between the engagement of parking brakes with respect to the warning light (!). The Cruze Owner’s Manual does not state anything related to partially-engaged and fully-engaged parking brakes with same warning light (!) displayed on the instrument panel.
    I am submitting GMC’s explanation, as quoted above, for your views and comments. Thank you and drive safely.

      acostafeliz I think it's ugly and slow and yet it's not a waste of effort because they obviously put none into it for the 10th gen. My first car when I was 16 was a 2012 Si FB6. I know how an Si drives....and I'd never again spend $25k on a Civic....at the end of the day it's just a Civic. The same with the already slow Type-R. It's practically a Civic EX trim level with a bigger motor. In the U.S. it makes 306 bhp....not to mention it's only FWD. and it's $35,000 MSRP does no justice for the damn thing when the Focus RS has faster 0-60, higher top speed, more features in the car by a SHIT TON, AWD, and 44 more bhp and a shit ton more torque. With yet the same price as the effortless Civic

Stock vs stock the ecoboost eats up the Type R still with similar curb weight and the ecoboost makes more power....

    • @Idk910

      Sergio Aguirre My car isn't stock.....411 wtq and if I brake boost at launch my 0-60 timer gets best 4.7 (typically I get 4.8 tho)..... still my car shits on a Type R. And you're full of shit...the Si doesn't make 205 whp, it makes 205 bhp. That's a big difference smart ass. The 0-60 for the Si was rated at 6.5 seconds from Honda.

    So the SI sedan has Red stitching in the back seat but my SI coupe DOES NOT! What the Hell Honda!!??

    • @MANROCK130
      @MANROCK130 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you have a sedan, the back seat is designed to put somebody back there. With the Coupe, that back seat isnt really designed that well for comfort, hence why the back seat has the red stitching on the sedan

    Actually the si doesnt have a bigger turbo it only has a remap from the same earth dream 1.5t of the more basic civic turbo

    • @sebasavadio5277
      @sebasavadio5277 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Steve Michaud I agree man they keep talking about the turbo being bigger but in other videos they just talk about he si having something about less fins of the inner turbo..not to mention the ext civic has been shown to be pushing same hp n tq number in other videos..I feel like the ext is easier to be customize than the si for example the electronic suspension.. the ext allows you choose what you wanna put.
