- This is an extraordinary talk given by Bishop Sheen in the 1950's. The topic is Our Lady of Fatima apparition, and other issues of the day. It contains a clip of the movie on Fatima at the end. This wonderful talk is relevant to us even 60 years later: Trust in God always.

Our Lady in Fatima and after in Pontevedra promised to the world a time of peace under two conditions :
1) the pope must dedicate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (which has not yet be made the way she asked for)
2) every catholic ought to repare for the five injuries made towards her by :
• a daily rosary
and every first Saturday of five successive months :
• pray the rosary
• confess (one must tell the priest that it is part of this devotion - confession may be made one week earlier or later)
• receive the Holy Eucharist (one must assist mass on Sunday too)
• and spend 1/4 hour in her company, while meditating the 15 mysteries.
To the persons who will fulfill this devotion, she promises her assistance when they die and receive the jugement, even if they have committed a mortal sin !
Satan uses to make those five months very difficult, which proves how holy they are.

Mary said she needed a Savior even before JESUS was born

The dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary says that she was already redeemed at the moment of her conception. The critics may argue that there is a time difference. Her son was not crucified until about 50 years later. How can Mary be redeemed before the Son was born in Bethlehem. Answer ፡ For God there is no before and after. That is why all people who were born before the time of Jesus can retrospectively be redeemed. Also for the one crucified together with Jesus, the time is "today you will be with me in paradise!" Here, too, the difference of 3 days is irrelevant God is everything at the same time. For humans there is a sequence of events.
The man, Jesus, lived in time. We celebrate his birth. The ‘word’ is eternal with God the father.
The dogma of “The Immaculate Conception” says that she was conceived without (original) sin and doesn’t mention redemption. All were redeemed when Jesus was in the tomb.

I love Fulton Sheen, but this theatrical dramatic style now in 2023 seems very Hollywoody, which is a shame. A pity too that the film was not actual newsreel film.. i prefer to read his books which are full of deep spirituality. +

First ill say. After my death and at my judgement, my testimony will be that i have been saved by the shed blood of Jesus. And when we are celebrating in heaven. I wish to dance with Mary,thank her for believing in the angels message. Submitting to Gods will. Yet the scripture tells us that there is only One mediator between God and man.the Man Christ Jesus.
And also that Jesus was born of a woman born under the Law. So that in Him we believe to redeem us from the curse of the Law which is eternal death to the life that is in Jesus. Our savior and creator. The one and only born without the sin nature. Mary said under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that her heart rejoyest in God my savior. Mary was not born without the sin nature, Jesus had to legally be born fully man. The second Adam. The seed of the women brought forth a sinless man, the sin nature then is passed through the speem of the man. The Holy Spirit fertilized Mary's egg the seed of promise that would crush the head( authority) of the serpent that Adam handed over to him when he ate of the fruit of tree.the title deed of the earth.
I do believe that something happened there in Fatima to those children. And the things so many people witnessed. But that people trust so much in Mary being somehow the mediator. Has no backing by scripture. I actually find it insulting to believe that Mary is also a mediator. That the Father listens to her because she is the mother of God. God the Father,Son and Holy Spirit have always exsisted. Mary was a blessed woman among all. But not free from the sin nature.
I ask thall that read my post. Pray, ask the Father in Jesus' name. To show you the truth concerning this. I was raised Catholic. Yet i was confused that our prayers were always directed to Mary as the advocate. Jesus did it all. Mary believed and subitted. Truly she will have many crowns. I studied for many yrs about what was believed about her. Ill someday thank her for all she went through because of her obedience and faith. All glory,honor and praise are to be to God Only!!

What Jesus said about his mother: Luke 11:27 As he said this, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts that you sucked!” 28 But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Jesus says the truly blessed are those who obey his word. All of this emphasis on his mother is misdirected devotion that should go to Jesus. He said no one goes to the Father except by Him. He is the one exalted in the Bible, not his mother.

Do Protestants not read Luke chapter 1 in fear of praying a Hail Mary? You need to do some serious research into what Marian devotion is about before taking to the keyboard again.
