Hi DJ Cee B, I’m new to this MixCloud stuff and my nickname is Egroove. I am under R and B, Soul Funk, and Classic R and B. If I sound a little bit stupid asking these questions it’s because I’m just getting my feet wet with this DJ stuff. Basically, when I was younger, I use to make a lot of mixtapes for my friends. I decided to go ahead and do it on MixCloud so whoever wants to can enjoy these mixes, also, I make mixes so they can have flow to them. How much do you have to talk because, sometimes I fell like talking and I do, lots of times I want to let the music play on which I do. Do I need to put tracklists up there or if somebody wants to know whatever song it is, can they just use Shazam and Sound Hound on another phone to figure it out? There’s lots of times where I want to use a lot of one artist’s music because it has a flow to it, then I’ll put it together with some more artists. Am I on the right track? This whole thing started for me when I was 13, I began recording music off the radio, then collecting a lot of albums, now, I have a huge music collection of Funk, Soul and R and B because it’s always been my passion. I’m more 70s, 80s and now’s underground R and B, music that is real and genuine and doesn’t get played like it should, so, I wanna play it so people will enjoy it. Also, most people don’t bother to collect like me. My other inspiration for making mixes is, too many people on these radio shows are playing the same old stuff, and I wanna give them something they’ve never heard before both Oldschool and Newschool. If Egroove comes up with a lot of people named Egroove, try Egroovealistic, you’ll find me if you want to. Any advice would be appreciated. Much love.
