I had a 2024 Elite Odyssey for a loaner for two weeks and love it , but noticed it got the same gas mileage as my Pilot. I miss my 2008 Odyssey. Good van to haul family members. The Elite has cabin watch, heated steering wheel, powered mirrors, heated mirrors, front heated and ventilation seats, back seats had heated seats. DVD system and usb all around. I like the 2024 Odyssey better than the 2024 Pilot, which I also had as a loaner.
I took 2 years to decide between the Kia Carnival, Chrysler Pacifica or Toyota Sienna. I wanted to get it right because I was giving up my beloved 4Runner for more room for our unexpected growing family. I ultimately chose the Sienna XSE and I couldn't be happier. I have zero buyers remorse.
Report back when the hybrid battery dies after 100k miles and costs $20k to replace
@@bcjammer87 lmao, those batteries last long. Ive ford fusion hybrid with 180k miles, no major repairs.
@@bcjammer87pretty silly comment considering the battery warranty alone is 150k miles. Maybe don’t speak on matters you obviously know little about 👌
@bcjammer87 lithium prices has cratered to all time lows. That tiny battery pack is 5k today and cheaper every year. Look at Tesla with 12 price cuts over last 2 years. A S Plaid in 2021 was 150k but I now cost 82k.
Not having Ceiling vents and kids rear facing is a huge let down, the ac sucks on the odyssey. The only reason to get it is for the cabin watch camera
Only reason? It has a powerful 3.5 v6, and a much better value if you consider the ridiculous markups
@@iosifkovalenko8364 i drove the sienna as a rental and its weaker 4cylinder hybrid engine is weaker but its sufficient for my needs. Im only hauling my kids and a double stroller. The ac on honda sucks, the old odysseys were a lot better.
@@iosifkovalenko8364only get the Odyssey if you really love buying gas. Like really love it.
The magic slide is what sold me!
I’ll take the sienna. Resale. Reliability. AWD. 36 mpg. Timing chain that doesnt need to be replaced every 60-100k miles and cost $1900-2200.
Pluuuuus I had a 2022 xle awd. It was amazing. Sold it bc I decided not to sell my 2008 sequoia. Haha
36mpg, awd, 24/7 climate control, 40k LE model winner has to be hybrid Sienna
Toyota Siennas are 5k above retail prices once you go to the dealer to get one
I'm leaning towards the Odyssey. Can you compare a Chevy traverse with another similar suv?
Why did the photo of the Sienna appear first when she mentioned Odyssey?
Taking oddy any day of the week with that v6
Real world getting double the city MPG is game changing and more than makes up for Honda having a slightly more flexible interior.
The RB1 04 _ 08 Japanese Imports are still the Sexiest ODCs going around.
The Honda Odyssey fucks hard!
For the odyssey, I have a 2017 and went and saw the 2024 and was shocked that they removed the ceiling vents. I wouldn’t even consider getting another one because of that reason. I can’t comprehend why they would change it
As a person that drives a bunch of miles per year, it's the sienna hybrid for me, both mechanically are awesome vehicles that will both go hundreds of thousands of miles. The Odyssey lost me a while back because they look like a hearse, The sienna in my opinion has Superior styling as far as Aesthetics goes... Still can't get over that but Odyssey looks like a hearse and the MPGs compared to the sienna hybrids, there's just no comparison for me.
The Sienna will not get 36 mpg combined 😂 we had one, it got 29 over 8 month period.
The Honda has a wayyyyy better powertrain if not concerned about fuel economy. A tiny 4 banger with hybrid assist and a CVT tranny vs. a NA V6 with an actual transmission.
Sienna has a composite rear hatch, we have not seen any rear crash tests to see how it would hold up. I would pick anything else over Sienna. They also are keeping this on the down low…
The fact you can’t easily remove middle row seats in a Sienna is a Major Deal breaker for me. Went with the odyssey. I’m ok to overpay for gas a grand or two, but have the convenience of a an actual minivan. Hauling stuff. Camping. Etc.
Pilot vs highlander
"The Honda Odyssey f***s hard."
Ceiling vents are not sustainable. Every car I had owned with ceiling vents had to be replaced due to the heat here in Texas. I prefer the new vents in the odyssey they work great and i have never had to service mine in my 2018 new owener since i bought it.
The Sienna can’t remove the second row seats! How could you miss this! It’s basically a station wagon. The Honda Odyssey still gives you a huge rear space with all of the seats removed!
Honda removed standout features and charged you the same price?? Wow, I am so surprised 🙄
Toyota sienna is better better motor better transmission Toyota is the king of the Asian vehicles in my opinion cuz I had these cars before even the Nissan I love my Toyota sienna
3 row suvs... Maybe the expedition and the Durango?
Usually people get minivans because they are cheaper and have better gas mileage
@@imapersoninpersonifacation6528 I have back issues so bending down to buckle in kiddos hurts me. Plus access to the 3rd row in mini vans sucks lol
@@maggwatwatson7845 true that’s why I like suvs I’m not a mother but I have back issues from sports and I buckle in my little sibling in the third row of our crossover but I have had experience with both SUVs and minivans but I like where you coming from
The Honda odyssey f*cks hard
Show us the minivans
Love Odyssey
Odyssey all the way. The build quality and material used on Honda is much better. Sienna seems to be cheaper though.
Real world, when carry heavy load, Odyssey wins the braking
all generation of Sienna brakes under load are weak, i mean it doesn’t want to stop
Odyssey wins the interior where we spent 98% of the time, driving dynamic, highway passing power.
I highly dislike my odyssey. The a/c vent for the back are terrible. Poor rear facing car seat. I had a Toyota Highlander and a Tahoe prior to this and wish the sienna had been in stock to purchase but it was a long wait so we decided to try the odyssey. Never again!
The Honda Odyssey Minivan is due for a full redesign very soon
The Honda Odyssey still has the VCM problem.
Google Honda VCM lawsuits. It will shock you on how bad this problem is.
I'm switching to Toyota.😂🎉
Magic ball moment--do you think any other vans will get AWD?! (C'mon, Honda!)
Had both. Prefer the Honda
👍
Both have 3,500 towing capacity.
Once Kia Carnival's power train updates to include AWD. It looks to Trump the others
Maybe some other vehicles are better in different type of things but I'm talking about motor and transmission Toyota is better far away better
Visually, it be helpful to show the vehicles, instead of your nose
Damn you're pretty without make up. That's natural beauty there ❤
@@bcomingCanNoy you have a wife bro, be loyal and plus how come u saw this notification after more than a month?
sienna toyota top
Sienna beats the crap outta the odyssey.
Stop moving your hands too much, it's annoying.
The Odysseys after 2010 look like a funeral hearse. Ugly!
No thanks on watching the detailed video on your channel. I would only be there to look at you.
Nerdge
I prefer Not to have ceiling fans. With children easily catching colds from AC blowing on their heads. Especially when they are napping. No fans above are an upgrade to me. Not a downside.
😂 you can literally just turn them off. This comment is ridiculous. Not having something is not an upgrade.
AWD with plug-in Hybrid or nothing.
Odyssey makes no sense
What else can we do in 60 seconds? :^^^)
Odyssey can remove entire middle row and stow the third row...gamechanger with the amount of space for moving things besides children.
