I just wanted to say this was exactly what I needed to watch.by far one of the best videos I've seen and gave me some great insight. I have 2 huge maiden grass that has taken over the bed. now I know what type of plant it can be I can utilize it in some other areas. Thanks again
I let mine go to long apx 5 years w/o splitting - today broke the spade shovel digging them out. ;) Its good to break them up every 3 ish years at least in the spots i have them. started with one starter pot now have a privacy fence all along the front yard. beautiful blowing in the wind in the summer
Thank you for taking your time to share your knowledge. I just planted 10 of these and are as small as the ones you just cut off and planted. friend told me you could do this and found what I was looking for. never had these in the landscape kind of exited to see it in all her glory. I might have some lava rock under them I think that would look good.
This shit grass is like cancer in your landscaping. It's a bitch to remove once it matures and if you don't trim it down every fall it blows all over your neighborhood all winter. This shit sucks.

Thank you so much for this very informative video. It’s exactly what I needed for my tall grass
Agreed! Exactly what I needed to see too.
"Favorite mother in law"🤣🤣
I think my favourite mother-in-law will really like it!
So do l transplant these plants in the spring??
Could I reshape the piece left so it isn't quite so big???
Thank you.. I wanted to know how or if I could divide and save for later. Are there any other instructions on that?
Best video
What kind of grass is that?
When should you divide the plant when it is green or brown
Spring.
Mine defiantly don't come out that easy.
I replanted mine 2 days ago and looks like it's dying
Did it die?
@@sleddy01 3 died 3 survived but are not growing as they should I'm guessing it's just the time when you plant them. I mean like the season.
@@uriel0002 At least 3 survived. Thanks for the reply.
@@sleddy01 sure thing.
It might be easy for you, but it sure hasn't been easy for me
