A momma's boy is definitely not a man of God at all!!! He can't make a decision without his momma. When, you hear a man say he wears a badge of honor as a father, son, and a brother... Watch out!!! Also, beware of not hearing him say, I wear a badge of honor as a child of God, as a boyfriend, as a fiance, and as a future husband. In closing, when he's stated several times during the relationship, my momma said!!!!

I recently got out of a relationship where I experienced a lot of this. Growing up, my parents didn't baby me and I grew up to be responsible and start working in 9th grade. Although he and I grew up similar with struggles from a single parent household, I noticed his lack of maturity was an issue when we disagreed or him wanting things his way. When I held him accountable, he thought I was judgemental or nagging. The attachment and abandonment issues are so true. Even though he started treating me as an opponent, he was very attached. The relationship became draining and I had to break it off. I saw potential and that's where I went wrong. It's been 4 months and I've learned, although I'm imperfect, his healing and maturity was beyond me. My level of peace since then has been amazing❤🙏. Thank you for these video that remind me of my worth and to be patient and focus on my purpose.

@@vodkacannon hey, u still there? Have you gotten any advice elsewhere? If not, I just left a relationship with a momma's boy and it was one of the most frustrating things EVER. I actually don't think discussion with a female will be that helpful, but I'll say these two things: 1) If you've identified yourself as a momma's boy, then that's so vital, and that's the first step to "healing". 2) Be cognisant of what you share with your mother. You shouldn't have to run to her for a solution on every problem/issue in your life. In summary, I think it's best to talk to an older, adult *alpha male about this. Can I recommend Jesse Lee Peterson? You can call into his radio show, and he also does one-on-one (phone/in-person) counseling. His message is so crucial for Today's male. ❤️

i saw a post on Instagram that said "mothers baby their sons and treat their daughters like they're grown." I never thought about this till i read that post. Now that I'm aware of momma's boy syndrome i see it everywhere. Many mothers do treat their daughters differently not in a bad way, but as in they don't baby their girls as much as they do their boys.
It's the same with fathers, fathers seem to baby their daughters more so then their sons. A good fathers usually teaches the son how to get out on his own and succeed. I don't know the psychology behind this but i found it interesting how parents treat their opposite gendered children.

    • @mrgiraffelover7388
      @mrgiraffelover7388 ปีที่แล้ว +1

This is usually the case. Parents treat their opposite gendered children much better than the same gendered children because a parent of a similar gender can sense competition and rivalry on the child of the same gender but they can never sense rivalry on the child of the opposite gender.
However, let's say that the mother is a butch lesbian or the father is a feminine gay man, it could be possible for a butch lesbian mom ( because of her masculine nature, her relationship with her children would be more of a father and child than mother and child ) to be slightly more rough on her sons ( since fathers are usually rough on their sons ) and more doting towards her daughters ( since father are usually doting towards their daughters ) just as a feminine gay dad ( because of his feminine nature, his relationship with his children would be more of a mother to child than a father to child ) would be rough on his daughter ( since mothers are usually rough on their daughters ) and doting towards his son ( since mothers are usually doting towards their sons ).

I raised my sons to be gentlemen, independent, cook, clean, budget and save, work hard, be respectful - believe they are the best but not better than, because if anything happened to me I would know they could survive life’s ups and downs - that was important to me. Just like mothers of animals in the wild, lionesses teach their cubs to survive, hunt because it’s survival of the fittest and we are not going to live forever. I do this because I love them. I’m not afraid they won’t love me for it because they’re my children they’ll always love me, and I them. When they leave home they have to, or they won’t grow. And by stopping them we prevent their development. Be fair, uphold honesty, make them accountable or they won’t have healthy boundaries. Support their growth dont disable them.

I commented when my son was 16yrs old, I admitted I needed to stop doing something’s for him. He’s 18 now thank God. I’m preparing to go on holiday in the next week God willing , he’s taken the stance, he needs to know how I cook meals whilst I’m away. He’s come along way, his room is much cleaner, a lot more responsible. It takes time, but oh yes! We do need to avoid smothering our Son’s or they will never become responsible men. Thankful for this teaching, I must rewatch. Blessings

THIS has to be one of the most well articulated videos on this topic/issue. If I could show this to my Ex without him being offended I would. Tried to talk to him about it once, and he BLEW UP. I didn't try again after that, just didn't think it was my place to do so anymore.

God bless you because you are shedding light on the neglect from fathers not being active in there sons life ….As well as some narcissist miserable mothers who add to the fire : who didn’t get Healed ,And want to control there son’s happiness because MISERY LOVES COMPANY!!!!

I was with someone like this for 3 years and it was the most draining relationship ever. He was such a mamas boy and he moved in with me and expected me to be the same I was like heck no and we battled for long. I wish I knew my identity in Christ back then as I know now because I settled out of fear of being alone and now my God has shown me my worthy and my value and my identity. Found out the guy took off and found another woman he can go and do the same to. I definitely dodged a bullet by not marrying him. Thank you Jesus!

Shoot, I needed this word for my own self and how my mom tries to treat me and to keep it from developing more of a hatred towards her or make me feel like I’m owed whatever kind of freedom I want once I’m a relationship thats 50-50 rather than 99-1. So thank you ❤️

I dated a woman once that had a 30 yr old son , with two kids by two different women and the better we became financially , the more he wanted to come back home ! It’s like he had no drive , no sense of self betterment and his mom seems to feel sorry for him ! He blamed his parents divorce when he was a teenager-but never got over it !

Is it possible for them to have those external things in order BUT be a mommas boy emotionally? When it came to internal things, I think my ex relied too much on the viewpoints of his mother. He said he formed them on his own but some of them didn’t even line up with the Bible, so I was like how can you agree with your mom and think that view is right when it clearly contradicts scripture (such as sex outside of marriage). In his defense, she could be controlling emotionally and I don’t think he realized it. We aren’t together anymore but I still pray for him that he would find himself and grow in the knowledge of the Lord and be released from that.

Yes! I can agree with that because I unfortunately dated that too. He was a very spiritual man, but I could tell with how he acted, he was closer to his mom than his dad. Yet he had everything together; I still pray for him.

My birthday was on Juneteenth and fathers day this year, (his father had died a while ago). He’s lived with his mom pretty much all his life except for when he was in college then he moved back in with her and hasn’t moved out since. He told me his mom wanted him to go to church with him for a few hours to honor his father or something like that, so I was like okay but don’t be too long, it is my birthday. After church ended he told me his mom wanted him to drive them to this family church event at someone’s house, but this time, it was 3:30,4pm. I was annoyed asf at this point. We communicated so I could see when he would be finished hanging out with her. I didn’t see him that day until 8pm. 8PM!! He spent ALL OF MY BIRTHDAY with his mother. And after I finally met up with him, he started a fight with me and returned my birthday gift he never gave me. I ended up going to the club with my friend and her friends. He also bought his mom a new phone not having a job, but only gave me $20 for food when I asked him to help out with the groceries he ate constantly, and he was making $20/hour at the time. That was the absolute last straw.

A lot of mommies don't love their sons and use them for their own unmet needs and covertly abuse them, by turning them into their husbands. Now that is not love. The only love involved in these dynamics is for the mommy. Healthy mothers don't do this to their sons and they encourage their sons to grow up to be Full Grown Adult Men. That's Real Love.

Mommy's boys seek mothers in their girlfriends and wives. If you want a weak man with no backbone that wants to spend more time with mother, and needs her approval over yours, find a man who calls mother every time they need assistance or help.

Or calls his mom every time he has an argument with his partner. Then, the mom calling the partner. This man was almost 40 and acting like a teenager. "Mom, this bitch is crazy! Help me calm down!"

never try to help their sons realize their part in the problem but they will gladly tell their son to run back home ….if you meet his mother and she refers to him as “my son “. Run. She think she owns him even in adulthood and she probably right.
