I really like this review! It’s nice to see a person with some flaws a lot of us have and use a piece of equipment that could actually help us improve!
Love the honesty. We all have strengths and weaknesses in our games for sure and I can relate to driving being the weaker part of my game too. I recently went from a Titleist tsr to the new pxg black ops and found similar results with dispersion. Would certainly be worth evaluating some of the newer forgiving drivers against the exotics. Keep up the great content!
agreed, i think the real test is the qi10, ping 10k vs e725. My big question is about distance. Any of these are going to be super forgiving, but what manufacturer gets the most distance while keeping them in bounds.
Thank you. I am looking for a new driver, that won't break the bank. Enjoyed the honesty, with swing speed and numbers, this would be close to me and my swing.
Thanks for th video. My E722 goes 275-285 occasional 300. Spend the money on lessons. Not hard to get you into a better swing instead of a different club. I'm 71 yrs old so age is no excuse. Like your hitting studio!😊
Enjoyed your review of the E725. I really want to give it a try. I have played some other clubs from Tour Edge and really enjoyed them. I actually have one of the previous model 7 woods in my bag now. Great club!!
Great to get a review from someone with a mid to high handicap. Watching Rick Shiels stripe everything is fun but tells me nothing about how a club may perform for me.
Love it! Can’t wait to see you tweak it. It can help so much if you get the perfect numbers. Especially on the course (I use the Garmin R10, partly due to your recommendation). I think you want to look at around 14 degree launch and around 2500 spin to optimize distance. I went a bit down the rabbit hole last year during the winter months, when I bought my PXG 0311 gen 5. I put 2.5gr weights in the heel and toe and 5gr at the back, switched out my shaft from a 65gr to a 55gr with a lower kickpoint to get more speed and loft. Talking about loft I got my loft up from 9 degrees to 11. And going to the range (a lot), got my speed up from 91mph to 98mph. All in all more forgiveness, more loft, more speed, less spin (also due to the shaft), resulted in a 15yrd gain, fairways found from 68% to 79%. Resulting in 3 more GIR and shaving off 2 points off my handicap. This winter I’ll be looking at shots within 100m and chipping, as this is where I can shave even more shots off, as we’re chasing that elusive single handicap 😉👊
Nice review. I’d be really curious to see how you’d do with the G430 Max 10K. It’s a pretty significantly lower spinning head than Tour Edge’s E-series drivers have been - if you went with a 9 degree lofted up to 10.5 to help close the face, I’d be really curious whether you’d cut quite a bit of spin and add some distance without any dispersion cost. Maybe, maybe not, but it’d be a worthwhile test! And if Tour Edge wins that head-to-head at its lower price point, that would be SUPER impressive.
I’ve played tour edge 3 woods for many years, C723 for the last few years, always came with top notch shafts too. Their current drivers are looking tempting to put up against my Tsi2.
Good review Sean. You will open the face if you lower the loft. Try the UO(upright lie/standard loft) setting with the weight in the draw position first. If you are still hitting too high then use the U-(upright lie/-1* loft). Would be interested to know how you hit them in those settings.
If you can try the C725 as well. I've heard that even though it's not 10k it's straighter and longer. Maybe get the 10.5 and turn it down to 9 to close it a little. Might be a game changer.
So Ol' Gabe from Let's Play Through actually found the C725 to be longer and just as if not more forgiving. Might want to watch his reviews might be worth a look at the C725. I really do enjoy your honest and enthusiastic reviews. Best regards and GOD Bless
Watch Eric Cogorno "This changed my game forever" video. Get the club in your finger tips and get super loose wrists, thats where much of the speed and power come from. Love your passion for the game.
I am looking at Tour Edge for my next driver. I tested one a few months ago, I couldn't tell you what the distances were, but the shots were noticeably straighter.
Prior to taking lessons I would have been all over this and excited. Now I'm just thinking about how would my swing be impacted and your slice may not be caused by similar issues as my slice and so maybe it won't work for me as well
I'd be interested to see you do a "What's In The Bag?" I think a lot of people watch TH-cam golfers who are essentially pros that didn't work out and compare to you unfairly. This is way more reasonable and more on level with a standard golfer. I still don't know if I would be chatting up my wife about a 220 drive. :)
Dude... go from a weak grip to at minimum, a neutral grip and it will start to make it easier (for you) to stop slicing, or at least take the big part of it off. If a slicer goes to a strong grip (right hand with a knuckle or two pointing down), it forces your right arm to stay in more... which keeps everything connected... ergo, less outside in. That weak grip you have is setting you up for a slice every time.
I am certainly no pro and probably have the same handicap as you but my question is why not work on getting rid of that Slice. I'm sure that wouldn't be that hard of a tweak to your swing and you would gain easily 20 or 30 yd
Anyone know why when you compensate to the left the slice goes away. I have the same issue. So I can either slice it into the trees in the right or pivot to the left and drive it straight into the trees on the left.
Traded my ping g425lst for a CPO tour edge e722, wouldnt trade ot back for 100 bucks.....justso much more forgiving, and their 4tcore ventus shfts they had are great too, i love the red ventus, very good feel.
does the 725 driver use the same adapter as the 723 series. If I get this driver I will want to keep my shafts without having to re-adaptise (is that a word.. hahaha)
Fixing a slice is the easiest thing to correct in golf. Love the page and all your stuff. That's the worst driver swing I have ever seen? No way that is real life.....
Your grip is too weak. I would strengthen it first, before doing anything else. Everyone is saying AI is being used to make mini sweet spots on the driver increasing accuracy or decreasing dispersion. For in essence the places on the driver face you can hit it increase your chances on being in the fairway.
@@breakingeighty I appreciate your honesty and being like most of the rest of us. I watch other channels and they have great content too but some of these folks it seems like “a miss” is 6” off the center line. I don’t think that’s very relatable. A couple great things about Tour Edge - they have a lifetime warranty, 30 day trail period and if the club isn’t everything thing you wanted you can contact their Customer care ask to return and they give you prepaid shipping label and refund your money. With any returned clubs, they inspect and replace any damaged component and sell them as Pre-certified at great discounts. For you, another consideration might be to order a C725 with the Hzdrs Stiff shaft and then use the 30 day period to swap shafts, make head adjustments and see the best combination for you, then talk to customer care about returning the least favorite combo. Thanks again for the great honest review! You’ve earned another subscriber.
Agreed. I relate to his comment. I am in fact a 20 with just a driver but a 6-7 with my irons and short game. I grew up golfing without a driver but as I get older, I realize I need the driver to take advantage of my iron play. Put me 175 in and I can snipe pins but my driver sprays all over.

Appreciate the content bud, it'll be a good while until I can afford a new driver but videos like this get saved and added to the wishlist for sure.

Very interesting, thanks mate. Enjoyed this format.

I believe the c is supposed to be longer than the e for a lot of golfers. It's still a high MOI club

Tour Edge seems to be doing quite well on the Senior Tour. At 56 I wouldn’t mind giving the new Tour Edge driver a try!
Prior to taking lessons I would have been all over this and excited. Now I'm just thinking about how would my swing be impacted and your slice may not be caused by similar issues as my slice and so maybe it won't work for me as well
the C725 is just as good! tour edge knocked it out of the park with these new drivers

haha absolutely. And for what it's worth, that particular drive was a mighty 238 😂

Waiting for updates. Maybe it’s time I finally upgraded my TM R7 … maybe …

Good review..I saw a couple others. Will have ck this out.

If you delay the firing of your right hip at the start of your downswing you'll pick up yards and slice less often
Why can’t I find this driver online for sale?
Fixing a slice is the easiest thing to correct in golf. Love the page and all your stuff. That's the worst driver swing I have ever seen? No way that is real life.....
JUST MY OBSERVATION
Strengthen your grip a little, it is very weak. That will help with that slice.
If you want more distance a little less forgiveness tour edge c725.
Be easier to get an audience with the pope than a fitting for Tour Exotics in the UK.. 😂 gotta rely on eBay
Interesting for sure. Not in love with the sound though
And I am sitting here wondering if he really was so amazed by this driver that he called his wife dude

why did you call your wife dude? :D
Your reviews were really credible until I saw your swing ☠️
Now you know why I mostly stick to tech and accessories! 😂
@@Bfloataaa funny I see it the opposite. I’d rather have an honest review from a good golfer than a pro. Translates much better.

A pro hits the middle. We don't. So testing a forgiving driver model is better coming from an average to good golfer.
