Is it bye bye to Coronation Street Weatherfield's iconic legendary Rovers Return. The Rovers has been the centre of Coronation Street Weatherfield since it's inception in 1960. And Newton and Ridley will not buy the pub. The residents of Coronation Street Weatherfield could be losing the one drinking hole that kept Coronation Street going for as long as it could.
If it's no more Rovers. What does it mean for Coronation Street Weatherfield and it's residents and local businesses like the Kabin,Underworld, Websters Garage, Alahans Corner Shop, Roy's Rolls the builders yard, Street Cars, Preston's Petals, Nick's Bistro,Speed Daal, Weatherfield Gazette, Weatherfield Medical Centre which is located on the Street itself right opposite the Rovers, the cobbles and households that brought us Coronation Street for as long as it's been on the air.
Could this be it for Coronation Street. Coronation Street Weatherfield has been nothing without the Rovers. That pub is the reason why Coronation Street is what it is today.
And if it does happen and that the Rovers does shut down for good. Then it's all over for the one program that gave us all entertainment in the Rovers and out on the cobbles of Coronation Street Weatherfield.
I know there is still some hope of saving the Rovers. Jenny Connor cannot just give up on saving the Rovers. The residents of Coronation Street Weatherfield will not let Jenny give up. She brought the Rovers with Johnny. And past and present pass throughs stop into the Rovers for a drink and one of Betty Williams's famous hot pots. Betty was the one who created the famous Betty's Hot Pot recipe which by the way is still feeding Coronation Street's residents today even after Betty's death. Betty Williams left her hot pot recipe behind.
This cannot be it. Jenny must have other ways of keeping the Rovers. She has to try something else. Coronation Street's residents will pitch in and help save the Rovers from shutting down for good.
You see every one of those pictures like the one of Bet Lynch for example or the one of Betty Williams kept especially in a special photo frame on the wall in the Rovers by the pub's iconic entrance doors.
Who's with me. Help keep Coronation Street going for more years by finding ways and ideas for Jenny Connor to save the Rovers and keep it remaining open for Coronation Street Weatherfield's residents who live in each of those households on those special cobbles of Coronation Street Weatherfield and the businesses that are part of the Street's residents heading to the Rovers after work to wind down after a day's work.
