Hey there! Glad you enjoyed the cover! This song is actually written by Justin Vernon under the band name Bon Iver, which utilise many indie, indie-folk tropes and techniques. Folk music is pretty popular in the Icelandic/nordic music scene, so I can understand where you got that from, but the song itself is written by an American. For me, I'm from Singapore, but love the indie / folk genre!
I'm doing a cover of Phoebe Bridgers' "Waiting Room" next, probably will upload today or tomorrow, also planning to do "Free Now" by Gracie Abrams, but that'll be down the line as I just covered one of her songs. I'm very open to suggestions! I mainly do indie pop/folk, singer-songwriter style songs :) If you have a suggestion do let me know!
I have heard of some of them, mainly Sufjan, but don't religiously listen to them though. Definitely could take a look at some of their songs and cover a few! Thanks for the suggestions :)
Beautiful work Ethan! Loke? Very nordic? You sound a bit Icelandic? :)
