I would like to thank you for making this retrospective. The Sly trilogy is a series that's extremely special to me, and you did the entire trilogy justice. You seemed to care as much about making a quality retrospective, as Sucker Punch cared about making a quality series. I especially appreciate you analysis of the music Peter McConnell composed, he really is excellent. That stuff was very interesting to me because I'm not the most educated when it comes to music.I think the Sly trilogy is flawed, as you stated. one thing I absolutely love about sly 3 is how different each episode is and weren't really connected with one another. they each become their own seperate thing and that's good. went into a different direction from the first two games and loved every minute of it too!
Agreed, 2 had the best over arching story. 3 however did so many crazy unique things. One minute we're having an opera duel against a mobster, biplane battles, and even pirates! The third game was honestly the most fun for me.

I just marathoned your Sly retrospectives. You did a great job offering up a new perspective (your critiques of the music were very thought provoking and something I hadn't heard anyone else delve into). My one quibble is your statement that Penelope was the one who had to "learn about true love" and overcome her flaws to be with Bentley. I think putting the onus on Penelope for being "shallow" is unfair. Both Penelope AND Bentley lied about their appearances online. And, up until the latter part of the pirate level, Bentley acts like he's entitled to her affection just because he knew her first. Bentley had strong "Nice Guy" vibes (which scares women off like kryptonite). And Penelope didn't start seeing him as a potential love interest until he cut that nonsense out and started treating her like a person/friend instead of a trophy that he didn't want to let Sly take from him. It wasn't about "learning what true love means". It was about Bentley learning to respect her as a person and a teammate regardless of whether or not she chose to return his affections. Just some food for thought. :)
Thank you for the compliments, I’m glad you got so much out of the retrospectives. Your comments regarding Penelope and Bentley are really eye-opening. I am convinced I was looking at this from the wrong perspective this whole time. The lesson at the end of the day is truly about Bentley learning to love Penelope for who she is. The self-proclaimed “nice guy” stereotype is actually a really good metaphor for the kind of way Bentley was seeing things for quite some time. Perhaps in a sense, I failed to due justice to Penelope’s character with that aspect of the analysis. That kinda bums me out because I’m really passionate about this topic, but hey, you live and you learn! Again. I really appreciate your analysis of their character dynamics and the ensuing lesson at the end of it all.
@@IKGProductions I appreciate the reply. IMO, a lot of male fans don't pick up on the "Nice Guy" thing in Sly 3 because they never have to deal with it in real life. As a girl who interacted with a lot of nerdy guys growing up (and eventually married one), I related to the Penelope/Bentley storyline a LOT.
Sly 3 was the first game I played out of the entire trilogy when I was maybe 7 years old, and to this day it's one of my favourite games. I can't thank you enough for this video, for letting me revisit my childhood as a 23 year old adult, experience the excitement again and just remember how amazing the trilogy is 💛
2:14:40 Another interesting thing to mention here: This is one of the times where failing the negotiation minigame actually has consequences. Choosing the wrong option will have you fighting the Panda King for another phase before you get the option to negotiate again.
1:27:23 this is why I like to headcanon that the guru is some, like danny devito esque character, who only told murray not to murder because it was convenient to him sending murray away on a "mission" for as long as possible, so he could finally get some alone time, he doesnt actually gaf might as well play with what the game gives ya, its comedic
I'm only halfway through this video and I've already watched the previous two and I have to give it to you, very well done and your work perfectly shows why the sly cooper games are masterpieces. One small point I gotta mention is I love how you didn't show any footage of sequels even in your previous videos (unlike a certain other reviewer (J's Reviews)).
I like to think that Suckerpunch made the Sly 3 they wanted to make and then they realized they still had 11 months until release and thats why we have things like the hazard room, a legit set of dogfighting levels, and a full blown pirate sim in the game. God, I love the pirate level.
Or maybe they thought they'd completed it in seven or eight months and used the remaining time to develop that stuff as well as fine-tuning the rest of it.
I have to say admit - I am absolutely stunned to see this video suggested to me. I made my own video review/critique/commentary on Sly 3 that's about 3.5 hours long and uploaded it about a week and a half ago. I uploaded it and thought, wow, I've got to be the only person talking about this game in 2020/2021... and then bam. A video with a similar format about the same game. Crazy! I can't wait to watch this and your massive Sly 2 video as well. From one fan of the series to another, congratulations on completing this massive video. I know how long it took me to complete mine, so much work. Congratulations on the culmination of that work!
@@IKGProductions Right? I did a 2.5 hour video on Sly 1, 4 hours on Sly 2, and 3.5 on Sly 3 with a similar video coming for Sly 4. It just is mind-blowing to me given it's a series that hasn't had a new entry in 8 years and isn't nearly as mainstream as some of these other games that are prominently featured in long format videos. I'll have to start with the Sly 1 video and move from through them. It'll be interesting to see what we agree/disagree with.
heres a fun detail about cold alliance if you replay the opening stage with the wedding photographer disguise he will stop attacking, and let you walk up to him and ask you for a password like as if he is a normal enemy in the main hub world. this serves no purpose other than a fun thing i found so next time in the original ps2 version try it out. don't know if it applies to the remakes so yea
I played Sly 3 the day it released. I was maybe in 2 or 3rd grade. And just now, at 23 years old, have I realized that Guru is literally Yoda with Murray of course being Luke. I love this game.
the fact that there's still sly content being made makes me SO happy !!!!!! i love these games so much i probably won't be able to sit through this video BUT thank you for making it, i feel like content being made means there's still hope for that TV show we've been promised for a while c:
Everyone else: "What an impressive set piece!" IKG, an intellectual: "C A T H A R T I C" Great content btw, I've been binge watching all three of your Sly-analysis videos
The amazing content you've made! Sly and AA are my childhood, and I love both series. The in-depth analysis is fantastic, you earned a sub and deserve many more!
Great revue! I love the Sly Cooper games, they were my childhood. Lets hope that they make another game, a game that is better then Sly 4. And also, RIP Rick May. You will be missed
I actually recently did a marathon of the games myself, a great series of games, I actually just love the Holy Trinity (Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, and Jak and Daxter), they just represent the best of PS2 platforming games to me, as soon as they came out on PS3 I bought them straight away, now all of them have their own problems (most notably a lot of stuff in R&C), but I just love being able to play them on a more modern console, hell I even bought the PS4 version of the Jak and Daxter games, I mean don't get me wrong, when the first Jak and Daxter came out on PS4 there was a Power Cell that would crash the game, the one where you push the flut flut egg over the cliff, but that was soon patched and other than that it was smooth sailing, so it was worth it to me.
Dude thank you so much for making all 3 of your reviews. These games are extremely dear to me too and it's so special to see someone give them so much respect many years after the release. Lol these videos are my movies for movie night. Hats off to you brother!
You hit the nail on the head, "They don't make games like this anymore." I wish I could have a beer with you and talk about what we want in a future Sly. Gang gang bro
Finally at the end of watching these retrospectives and I have to say, this is the most thorough set of videos I've seen on undoubtedly one of my favourite franchises. When you started dissecting the music in Sly 1 I was buzzing, as I've got a massive soft spot for video game music and you're clearly educated on the topic, amazing work and looking very forward to what you do in the future, VERY underrated channel
It's been a few years since I played these games but I distinctly remember loving how it controlled. The only 3D platformer I've played that is arguably handles better is a Hat in Time. I haven't got through the whole video yet but I was a little worried when a saw the timestamp I have to admit. Despite that though you seem to have a really tight grasp on pacing, I struggle to do that for a 30 minute video so for a 4 hour one really should be commended. In particular I appreciate you citing a lot of the inspirations behind characters, naming coventions etc. Stuff like that has always been super cool to me. Only bit of advice I can give is that in future I would avoid using full cutscenes, a lot of the audience for a 4 hour Sly video have likely played these games before, bits and pieces is fine, but in most cases we can infer whats going on with the accompanying visuals.
Thanks, Jack! And good advice on pacing- I knew it wasn’t the best idea but I decided to mirror the Sly 2 video. Here on out, I’m going to work on improving pacing of the video itself and not just my script. Thanks again!
Something else I’ve just noticed about this video, this might just be me overthinking but I think you spent the most time talking about an opera of fear in this episode more than all the others. It certainly was a great first episode of the game overall. I love it more than tide of terror and the black chateau from the last two games if I’m being really honest too.
one thing that I truly loved more about sly 3 than 2 was the fact that you could replay missions anytime you wanted to after completing them the first time! sheer genius! you could only do it in 2 if you entered cheat codes! ugghhh!
Thank you for the support! Just a friendly reminder that Thieves in Time is currently set as a Patreon goal for reasons stated near the end of this video. Again, I'm always happy to consider doing a video on it, but it would be... an undertaking.
I've rarely watch videos this long on TH-cam but I love this game series that it was such a pleasure to follow. I knew other people loved this series too but waw, that is a lot of dedication!
No matter how many games I’ve played through my life, my love for the Sly trilogy has thus far gone unparalleled. In the past I’ve chalked it up to nostalgia, but these videos have been eye-opening. I never really gave the writing and narrative nearly enough credit! Even though I love the games so much, I’ve always brushed it off as “childhood favourite fun! Nostalgia good!” Seems like I didn’t even give my own enjoyment enough credit! It’s such a shame that the Sanzaru repackage wasn’t exactly airtight for the new players to fully enjoy the experience, and such a shame Sly hasn’t seen the same nostalgic resurgence of other pop culture phenomenons in recent years. I’ve sung my praises up and down for these games forever but I haven’t managed to convince a single one of my friends to play them yet. In a way these videos were a much needed discussion that I’ve been missing out on all these years. I’m so glad I stumbled upon these. It pointed out the things I loved about Sly, but also articulated and validated the things I’ve had trouble with! (Like that horrendous pirate ship overworld. Ugh.) These must have taken forever to make! My sincerest thanks for the hours of indulgence you’ve given me. Normally I don’t have the attention span to sit down for a twenty minute video, but I binged all of these in less than 24 hours. I’m in the mood to create! Side note, looking at Sly’s silhouette always puts me in the mood to draw. What an amazing design! He really deserves to be held up the way other characters have been over the years. I’m grateful, though, that Sucker Punch knew to quit while they were ahead. It really speaks to their love and respect for video games as a means of art and storytelling. I’m also grateful that the remaining Sly fandom is collectively ignoring that Sly 4 ever existed. It’s not canon and I’ll take that to my grave!! 😤😤 holy cow I don’t think I’ve ever left such a long comment in my life. Pardon me! I hope you’re having good weather, wherever you are! You deserve it!
Dude I just wanted to say this is awesome, and I can’t believe I watched 9 hours of your videos😂 you should have such a bigger following and please don’t stop making videos until you do!!!
Thanks for covering one of my favorite game series! I grew up with this series and it means alot to me. Great vidoes man i hope to see u do Other series i highly recommend the batman arkham games or kingdom hearts games! U earned a new subscriber for sure !
Despite being outperformed by her previous VA, Sly 3's Carmelita actually has a Spanish accent, and a good one at that. Still feels weird how she pretty much has none in the other 2 games despite specifically being of Hispanic heritage
51:34 On my PS2 for whatever reason there's a pause right before Bentley talks. It may not be intentional, but man it gets a laugh from me. Just a solid second-long close up of Bentley scowling at Sly all sassy, before letting out his line.
Fantastic job my friend! Once again you've provided an excellent analysis for this series, and once again despite there being some points of disagreements here or there, you've presented them in a very understandable manner. Really making it hard for me to come up with new things to say whenever I eventually get to this series, but I'll figure that out when the time comes ha ha. Don't really have much to argue with here, while I would be less harsh towards the sailing, I can't deny that it pretty much is the worst part of the trilogy. Any other disagreements would be so small they wouldn't really be worth mentioning. But, Sly 3, such an interesting game, it easily has the highest highs of the series, but unfortunately has some shortcommings that leave Sly 2 still overall the superior game. Not that it matters too much, Sly 2 is a masterpiece, and Sly 3 is only slightly lower than it, which still leaves us with 2 phenomenal games. I still haven't decided which game's story I prefer, it's so hard for me to choose. Once again, 3 has higher highs in the story, but there are some small flaws here and there, that while easily overlooked, still get in the way just a tiny bit. But those high highs, man, Dr M is easily my favorite villain in the series, and one of my favorite villains in general, not just in games either. Wish we could have gotten a little more of him, and I agree it was a missed opportunity that they didn't explore what Dr M would think of Clockwerk and the Fiendish Five. Does he even know that Sly's dad is dead? At the beginning when he catches you at the vault, he says "Cooper! No, you must be Sly Cooper" implying the thought you were Sly's dad at first glance. Also, the Panda King is with you, if only we could have seen him interact with Dr M, imagine that conversation. I love every bit of screen time Dr M has, only complaint is there wasn't more. Also, the gauntlet of the ancestors is my favorite part of the entire series, I don't think I need to elaborate as you summed it up quite nicely. But one thing I'll mention is when you get to Sly's dad's section, when I first played this I guess I didn't see the blue sparkles on the laser because I didn't get the idea you could slide on it. So I waited there trying to find out what I had to do, and if you wait, Sly will comment on the blue sparkles, and if you wait longer he'll figure out that he can slip on the laser. Every time I play this I wait for Sly to figure it out on his own. Gameplay wise, it does fall victim to having so many gameplay styles and not all of them are as fleshed out as they can be. It would be fine if it didn't affect the new playable characters, but only having 2 missions for the Panda King and Dimitri is a bit disappointing. At least they made good use out of the Guru, but I did rather like the Panda King even if he's pretty simple. That honestly is my biggest gripe with the game, but it doesn't detract much. I still love this game, even if not quite as much as 2, and that was the perfect ending for the trilogy. While I think there certainly is potential to expand the story past this, given what happened, it probably would have been best if it stayed ended. Once again, great work dude, proud of you for getting this out!
Man, what a ride. These were all really good (granted, I saw the first one a long time ago). I am not much of a gamer (and have just become less and less of one as time goes on), and these reviews helped me feel like I could 'experience' the games without actually having to play. I know that isn't your goal since you want people to experience these wonderful games, but for someone like me, that's not a criticism; I really do prefer just watching people play, and this was a similar experience, except _better_ since you were more indepth than a Let's Player could be.
Thank you so much, Elisebeth! I’m happy that I could offer that kind of experience for you. Hats off to you for watching over 9 hours of content analyzing a game series you never played- you have always been a strong supporter of myself and the channel, and this really speaks volumes to your generosity. Thank you so, so much.
Beautifully done, 🙂😁 I finally started playing sly 3 myself and I already am enjoying it more than sly 2 *I do enjoy 2 but I do have my fair share of quibbles, it doesn't ruin anything though, and sly 1 I generally say it's a simple but fun experience* it's interesting to see in how franchises start out as simple in their first respective outings to growing more in the sequels *especially when it comes to the typical 3 games in and we're giving everything we got* and I did read that sly comic when I was young, but sadly never played 3 at the time *ratchet: deadlocked got my attention* mind you as I said before in a few of the streams, especially j when he was playing mgs 4: I am playing the vita version of the collection, overall, you did really wonderful IKG, 😁
Having recently replayed all 4 sly games, is nice watching these retrospectives going over just what made them so good, sly 4 was a bit of a disappointment but i could still have fun with it if i turned my brain off and ignore what they did with the characters and story
11:40 i had those issues too (they also where in sly2), but you can easily fix this if you go to the settings of the games and dissable the overscan. The Black borders and the cameras of the playable characters should be like in the original after you change that.
There is acctualy a very simple way to beat tsao with a few attacks. First you use the Knockout Dive on tsao, after that you press the triangle button and then press the sguare button and boom
Sly was the franchise that lit the fires for both video games and storytelling. It was the 1st trilogy o ever beat all the way through and I can’t believe it’s still the best
I think Carmelita patroling around during the heist in Rumble Down Under is quite coherent. I mean, the miners were actually (probably) in their right (legally). So it seems logic they would have called the cops on the Gang, day one. It seems quite logical.
Personal Opinion on Sly 4: Like Monkey Island 4, it was a solid to fine or even good game... just a poor Sly/Monkey Island game. The three major issues I've had with it: 1) Imho it should've had more with Sly AND Carmelite and Sly's time at Interpol. AT THE VERY LEAST the intro should've explored that, and how Sly grew bored with it. Or a bonus story/comic for the game. 2) The cliffhanger ending. I think no explanation needed. 3) Penelope's heel turn. It's just unsatisfying and came basically outta nowhere. I PERSONALLY would've used it as a set up for Sly 5... IF SANZARU HAD ATTEMPTED TO FOLLOW UP ON SLY 4! I personally would've had her be hypnotized... by none other than Clockwerk. Reveal that Clockwerk uploaded his brain into the internet before Sly 1. Despite the destruction o fhte hate chip, Clockwerk's eye is still round in 4... Clockwerk sent a mail to Bentley, trying to get Bentley as tool for his revenge, but got Penelope instead. Hell, reveal that she didn't immediately murder Bentley etc. BECAUSE of her feelings for him. sure, It's not the most creative solution, but imho better than "Penelope always had been a sociopathic, gold digging schemer!" Bonus point: Carmelita's outfit. Her 2 and 3 outfit was awesome... the outfit in 4 with the mini skirt? Meh... (I also think that hers and Sly's aged designs didn't quite fit... they just look... off? I guess...)
I’ve said the SAME thing about TiT on Reddit. It’s a canonical/non-canonical take on what a “sly 4” would be since it’s a game based on Canon that Sanzaru didn’t create/write. It’s very nicely done as a game but not great as a continuation of the original canon games. I wish it was done differently or Sucker Punch worked in tandem with Sanzaru Games for them to make something closer to the trilogy, but with the same quality as it plays presently. Also, all of those plot points would’ve been great to see; I wish for a sly 4 they could make a game about the origins of Thiefnet and the Corruption at Interpol and some how tie both into storylines about Sly, The Gang, and Carmelita, and also introduce new cops and other international thieves.
@@crashingbasher7376 define "regular". Especially since 1) she works for (a fantasy version of) Interpol (with far greater jurisdiction) and 2) isn't some low level policewoman. In 3 she had the authority to hire mercenaries.
"they don't make games like this anymore" I don't think they did then either. While there're some great other games from that era they weren't doing it like Sly was doing it Also I just watched 9 hours of your content for this trilogy and I regret none of it
Btw, amazing retrospective. Playing this as a kid was such an enjoyable experience, I'm glad someone has enough love as I did for the Sly franchise to usher it into an adult perspective.

The game was made in 12 months so it would be kind of weird if they finished almost the entire game in just one month.
Or maybe they thought they'd completed it in seven or eight months and used the remaining time to develop that stuff as well as fine-tuning the rest of it.
I think i spent 60 hours watcing your sly 2 and 3 videos over and over again. Something satisfying with a perfect analysis of great games.
Great job!
This is one heck of a coincidence! Thank you for the kind words! I’ll check out your videos soon.
I've watched and loved all of yours too!
heres a fun detail about cold alliance if you replay the opening stage with the wedding photographer disguise he will stop attacking, and let you walk up to him and ask you for a password like as if he is a normal enemy in the main hub world. this serves no purpose other than a fun thing i found so next time in the original ps2 version try it out. don't know if it applies to the remakes so yea
Sly 3 is my favorite in the series, I hope sly returns eventually.
Me too
Same! Definitely one of my favorites series ever, top 3 series for me personally.
I played Sly 3 the day it released. I was maybe in 2 or 3rd grade. And just now, at 23 years old, have I realized that Guru is literally Yoda with Murray of course being Luke. I love this game.
the fact that there's still sly content being made makes me SO happy !!!!!! i love these games so much
i probably won't be able to sit through this video BUT thank you for making it, i feel like content being made means there's still hope for that TV show we've been promised for a while c:
I must agree, the Venice hub world music is simply an amazing piece of music!
"A real peach, this guy. During surveillance, I actually witnessed him kick a puppy! TWICE!"
Gotta let Bentley finish that quote.
Everyone else: "What an impressive set piece!"
IKG, an intellectual: "C A T H A R T I C"
Great content btw, I've been binge watching all three of your Sly-analysis videos
You made me laugh, haha. Thank you! I appreciate the support.
I lost count of how many times he said cathartic. XD
Me too.
This Sly Copper assays/documentary/reviews are some of the best videos I have ever seen
The amazing content you've made! Sly and AA are my childhood, and I love both series. The in-depth analysis is fantastic, you earned a sub and deserve many more!
Fun fact: When Penelope sent her picture I thought as a kid that was her body and the joke was Bentley was the only one who faked his picture.
I'd like to point out that bentley says he's allergic to tomato's, which brings different context to why he was annoyed at sly wanting pasta sauce
Came to support a Sly Cooper creator. Liked and subbed for the sheer amount of love, effort, and dedication put into this series.
Your Channel is woefully under viewed. The quality of this video was nuts. I thought you had at least 200k. You got my sub my mate !
The prequel comic would have been an absolutely tremendous use of the disguise mechanic.
Your reviews of the sly trilogy stand tall above all the others. BRAVO!
Something else I’ve just noticed about this video, this might just be me overthinking but I think you spent the most time talking about an opera of fear in this episode more than all the others. It certainly was a great first episode of the game overall. I love it more than tide of terror and the black chateau from the last two games if I’m being really honest too.
some of the best analysis i've seen, good vid
Hope you read this, I subscribed after the first ten seconds of this video heard to check out the first layers first and now I’ll do that lol.
one thing that I truly loved more about sly 3 than 2 was the fact that you could replay missions anytime you wanted to after completing them the first time! sheer genius! you could only do it in 2 if you entered cheat codes! ugghhh!
I absolutely love the day and night cycle in sly 3 for all episodes too. adds another layer of depth to the series! lol
Dude this is great! I love Sly and have loved ALL your videos! PLEASE make a thieves in time review!
Man every time i hear a sound from sly cooper i just go back in time when i was like 9 playing it all night long
Super excited to watch. Sly 3 is my favorite one.
Really good review dude! Watched all of it (as well as the previous ones)
This is insane work dude. Loved every minute.
I wish you would do a retrospective on Thieves in Time as well, but I understand if you're not up for it.
Possibly in the future
@@IKGProductions Take your time. I LOVE these videos and I even subbed to the channel :D
Let’s goooo!!!! Great way to start the year!
Thanks for covering one of my favorite game series! I grew up with this series and it means alot to me. Great vidoes man i hope to see u do Other series i highly recommend the batman arkham games or kingdom hearts games! U earned a new subscriber for sure !
These videos are like one of those Tony Robbins neural-transformational conferences, just soaking in vibes for 8-hr-plus sessions. Totally into it
Despite being outperformed by her previous VA, Sly 3's Carmelita actually has a Spanish accent, and a good one at that.
I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the video so much, Red! Thanks for the analysis as well- I didn’t think about a lot of these things!
this is my favorite one in the franchise
The sly trilogy is my favorite games of all time. Sly 3 being my fav!
Thank you so, so much.
i replay the trilogy every year but i’m still gonna watch this video
If you're attempting to watch this in one sitting, just don't, watch a section at a time instead
Sound advice!
Too late ♡ but yeah, I enjoyed watching it all nonstop but definitely a LOT to take in in one go
Beautifully done, 🙂😁 I finally started playing sly 3 myself and I already am enjoying it more than sly 2 *I do enjoy 2 but I do have my fair share of quibbles, it doesn't ruin anything though, and sly 1 I generally say it's a simple but fun experience* it's interesting to see in how franchises start out as simple in their first respective outings to growing more in the sequels *especially when it comes to the typical 3 games in and we're giving everything we got* and I did read that sly comic when I was young, but sadly never played 3 at the time *ratchet: deadlocked got my attention* mind you as I said before in a few of the streams, especially j when he was playing mgs 4: I am playing the vita version of the collection, overall, you did really wonderful IKG, 😁
3:25:33 Is it Bach's Fugue in G Minor? Its the only classical piece this brings to mind.
Having recently replayed all 4 sly games, is nice watching these retrospectives going over just what made them so good, sly 4 was a bit of a disappointment but i could still have fun with it if i turned my brain off and ignore what they did with the characters and story
One thing if recall before the laser slide is Sly put things slowly together and even is amazed after solving it.
the number of minutes is equal to the amount views but you still made the video, amazing
Now THAT is a cool coincidence.
This was actually my first Sly Cooper game and it's my favorite of the series.
Most underated channel of all time bro
the lemonade bar is probably , hands down, the best mission in the whole series! or most memorable at least
These videos had tha juice.

Don't worry about it :)
11:40 i had those issues too (they also where in sly2), but you can easily fix this if you go to the settings of the games and dissable the overscan. The Black borders and the cameras of the playable characters should be like in the original after you change that.
Ah, thank you for the tip!
Oh my god I’ve been so hyped for this since finding your channel
Glad I can FINALLY watch this; way to start the new year!
Apparently the issue with the borders in the HD trillogy are fixed if you play the game in "3D mode".
Really? This just gets weirder and weirder.
@@IKGProductions Yeah. My sister and I discovered it by complete accident when we first played the collection back in 2014.
I'd object to the Don being a tenor. He is, imo, more of a baritone with a high range.
Valid!
the opera recital was great lmao
sir Raleigh, muggshot and mz ruby all in jail at the same time?! seems like panda king was let out for good behaviour! lol
you know I gotta say I love the music playing in the slideshows. why wasn't this in sly 2?! lol
This game was my childhood. I wish this game got a remaster.
It did. The first 3 Sly games were remastered for PS3. That’s the footage you’re looking at.
@@IKGProductions oh okay thanks for telling me.
The three major issues I've had with it:
1) Imho it should've had more with Sly AND Carmelite and Sly's time at Interpol.
BECAUSE of her feelings for him.
sure, It's not the most creative solution, but imho better than "Penelope always had been a sociopathic, gold digging schemer!"
Bonus point: Carmelita's outfit.
4 hours!!!!! REALLY 4 HOURS!!!! WAW!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! IM SERIOUS! I LOVE IT💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓 I THOUGHT I WAS A GOOD FAN, BUT YOU ARE INSANE!!! 💓💓💓💓💓💓
I rewatched the other two reviews just in time.
"they don't make games like this anymore" I don't think they did then either. While there're some great other games from that era they weren't doing it like Sly was doing it
Also I just watched 9 hours of your content for this trilogy and I regret none of it
1:51:50 except for the whole feeding living people to alligators thing
Take a shot everytime IKG says "cathartic"
Btw, amazing retrospective. Playing this as a kid was such an enjoyable experience, I'm glad someone has enough love as I did for the Sly franchise to usher it into an adult perspective.
@@KrysInColor Thank you! Yes, it's always nice to revisit these kinds of games from an adult perspective.
The black borders can be fixed in the digital version of the game by changing the "overscan" option in the pause menu
Whoa! Just whoa! 4 hours?! This beats b-mask by a mile! And I thought his retrospective was in-depth! Lol
We both had different approaches to covering the games, that’s all!
@@IKGProductions yes indeed!
