I love the missions in most of the reserves, but they sucked in SRP with almost no hunting invovled at all, and no side missions. I am expecting more of the same on this one too since they have said there will be no side missions. I guess we'll be collecting water and poop again.

Not having Tahr for me is kick right in the plums, NZ is iconic for large reds, record breaking Chamois and awesome Bull Tahr on high bluffs, To not have them is like not showing NZ
@@Connor_Meffen yeah but whitetail are easy to find on Layton unlike fallow deer on herishfielden which is mostly forests and thick Woodlands which makes it nearly impossible to be able to stalk stuff easily like on the dlc maps.
They're a small team working through pandemic constantly releasing content. You complain about things like this and bugs but you obviously don't know how much worse it'd be if they pushed simultaneous releases. All in all, you're a spoiled brat.

With chamois, feral hog, feral goat and sika we got 4 new species like they said in the description... but when i think about NZ the first animal that's in my mind is the thar and i'm pretty sure i'm not alone with my thoughts.... so i hope we will also see them in the near future on this map
As someone who plays Ark Survival Evolved on PS4 I'm already used to waiting on updates that PC already had (to my fellow console players who cried they're heads off waiting a month and a half for SRP... you're weak af...try waiting four months for free updates). My only complaint is the fact there's no Rusa Deer, Wallaby or Himalayan Tahr. I'll still buy this map and probably love it, but I hope a second New Zealand map comes out because like Vurhonga Savannah, this map has barely scratched the surface
I think they technically added russ deer but called them sika deer idk the difference its like in seige where Mavericks ar isnt really an ar15 yet they call it one

Basically same as elk in nz they are managed by reserves look it up it states "The state boasts several herds of bison, and you can visit many of their reserves. ... Today, Colorado is doing its part to help preserve bison, with several reserves and privately managed herds across the state, and you can visit several of them! In fact, there are quite a few just a short drive from the metro area." My guy.

Sorry guys but I think you need to fix the problems on the reserves that exist before creating new ones otherwise the same bugs will be on the new ones. To all those who think I am the only 1 thinking this. Look for the game on xbox store and look at the reviews. Then you might realise I ain't. Even on here I can't be the only one thinking this or I wouldn't get 88 likes. Bugs that certain people obviously don't get like tracks of animals going all over the place or disappearing. Animals drop after being shot then stand up and run off healthy as anything. Invincible moose. Shall I go on?
Yes, because the designers and artists who make the maps are obviously the same people who work on testing and bugfixing. And while they make the maps, the rest of the company obviously stops working on anything else and idely stands by.
I've never encountered bug that bothered me. Not to mention that there are different teams set up for creating new maps vs programming/fixing bugs. Have you ever read the patch notes? They're working on the bugs, but it takes time to figure out what causing them coding wise and even more time to figure out how to fix it.
I live in the northern rocky mountains of America and my favorite species is Mule deer or when I go east to go hunt antelope. Elk are what people mainly hunt. There is also a lot of predator hunting.
Arizonas someday ..but to be honest SRP looks very much like northern Arizona biomes, along the colorado platue or mogollan rim..so close enough. But the red rock country is missing...and the grand canyon
@@susballmapping9521 I live and hunt in Arizona my whole life I know what it looks like..parts of it that are not dessert look like SRP..we call it the Colorado platue or rim or white mountains etc
I also wrote the map guide for Arizona on steam forums that heavly influenced the DEVs to make SRP. They used every animal I suggested except coyotes and bobcats
Have you seen the patch notes yet? They are releasing a crap load of bug fixes and quality of life stuff along with the new update! My personal most exciting feature is that bows will now create WAY less hunting pressure, like half as much pressure as youd have from using a tripod or a blind

I wish we finally had loadouts, TruClothing (a system like in theHunter:Classic, were clothing actually matters) and our dog companion... I think they just need support and time and will keep pushing out updates with fixes over content They listen to feedback as long as you are respectful, and theres a second team now that is working just on the bug fixes stuff and another team that's doing content They need the income to pay the employees for Christmas, hence the reason for having their hands baisically forced into releasing them separately for pc and Xbox again I know that the game has a lot of things that still need to be worked on, but i genuinely think that they are doing what they can for being a small team working on a popular game. Give them a bit more time to fill in the gaps, they've already started :)

This is beautiful, but do you know what's more beautiful? A big bug fix patch. The only thing the developers do is making new content to sell but they forget to listen to the community and make it a quality game.

Consoles use completely different libraries and asset banks and you need to completely restructure things for the code to function. This goes to both consoles, making it super hard. Plus, the new consoles are coming out, making it even worse because they have to do it on four separate consoles. Stop being greedy.

There are many bird species we want but they dont add red deer has been repetitive because the guy who made the game apparently hunts them id like pheasant dove and partridge which are all in new zealabd including turkeys but there even getting boring because i like to shoot stuff out of the sky like ducks that fly over head they need to add a benalli shotgun that you can add a choke to so you can shoot bird shot atleast 100-120 yards
@Live Action Sonic i dont like to use the merdian scope but you are right it does act as one but its weird that they dont put in enough time into designing new guns for the game as maps are somthing we ask for even though they usually dont take our suggestions recently i shot a diamond bear abd si did my freind we think there either broken or just that hard to get considering there 9 legendary i lost my old lodge which had all kinds of rares but i continued to play and quickly gained what i lost other then a diamond coyote
This music is so beautiful that I push the repeat button and I think is one of the best and beautiful theme in the reserve in COTW thank you EW for this nice melody. Always go in the outpost when I play just to listen this masterpiece beautiful theme.
YESSSSSS!!!! My son and I love this game. We were on the south island last year and miss it every day. It was so beautiful. We did see many deer, but no Diamonds!
Hi Expansive Worlds, don't know if you're reading this, but the new map looks great. Nice job! :) Also, since you're based in Sweden and all, won't we get a scandinavian map some day? I imagine a map based on the west coast of Norway. Picture a deep, narrow fjord on one side of the map. Steep, forested hillsides with little farms, small pastures and gravel roads. Beautiful fall colors everywhere and snow capped mountains surrounding you. In the hillsides overlooking the fjord you could hunt Red Deer, Roe Deer, Red Fox, Hare and Capercaille. Then Imagine a mountainous landscape on the opposite side of the map. I picture a valley stretching from the hills above the fjord and extending above the treeline and into the surrounding mountains and overhanging sharp peaks, and just imagine a mighty glacier in the upper end of the valley! In the valley and the surrounding mountains you could hunt Moose, Reindeer, Wolverine, Grouse... I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. :)

Really wish if they would add a bit of a survival aspect in the game, hunger, and thirst, canteen water gathering from rivers, cooking food, separate skill tree, maybe even food boosts from that. Another option for harvesting parts of the animal etc... Also a hound, dog. Little buddy to keep you company and hunt with you, with few commands you can issue. Then this would be perfect.
even though this game does have its fair share of bugs, this game is the best hunting game on the market, thanks for all your hard work to bring this to us! excited to see what's next
I’m a console players myself but I don’t even think I’m gonna buy this map until they fix all the bugs in the game that exist right now. I mean I was playing the game the other night and it’s barely even playable right now. These guys need to chill with making the reserves and they need to fix the game first.

I mean, I still play the game but I was just pointing out that there are a few bugs in the game right now that I’d like to be fixed. Or it could just be my ps4 is acting up idk😂

Three new species. Those pigs are just a reskin, don't care what anyone says. Considering there is biologically zero difference between them.

What about an Arizona type map. With rocky mountain elk and desert big horns? Or a British Columbia map with falls sheep and brown bear?
Arizonas someday ..but to be honest SRP looks very much like northern Arizona biomes, along the colorado platue or mogollan rim..so close enough. But the red rock country is missing...and the grand canyon

@@susballmapping9521 I live and hunt in Arizona my whole life I know what it looks like..parts of it that are not dessert look like SRP..we call it the Colorado platue or rim or white mountains etc
I also wrote the map guide for Arizona on steam forums that heavly influenced the DEVs to make SRP. They used every animal I suggested except coyotes and bobcats

Have you seen the patch notes yet? They are releasing a crap load of bug fixes and quality of life stuff along with the new update!
My personal most exciting feature is that bows will now create WAY less hunting pressure, like half as much pressure as youd have from using a tripod or a blind
@@finthefishsep20toma thats a great feature and I'm eager to use bows more often now. Still, I feel like that is not enough... I wish we finally had loadouts, TruClothing (a system like in theHunter:Classic, were clothing actually matters) and our dog companion... I'd gladly skip a reserve in order to get one or more of the mentioned features...
@@midnight5895 Ive heard that load outs are on the roadmap as well! I think they just need support and time and will keep pushing out updates with fixes over content
They listen to feedback as long as you are respectful, and theres a second team now that is working just on the bug fixes stuff and another team that's doing content
They need the income to pay the employees for Christmas, hence the reason for having their hands baisically forced into releasing them separately for pc and Xbox again
I know that the game has a lot of things that still need to be worked on, but i genuinely think that they are doing what they can for being a small team working on a popular game. Give them a bit more time to fill in the gaps, they've already started :)

Did you see the episode he knifed the wild cook's pig. I watched the red deer hunt and he shot a wild sheep/lamb.. cool this map has wild goat's and the cook hogs

This is beautiful, but do you know what's more beautiful? A big bug fix patch. The only thing the developers do is making new content to sell but they forget to listen to the community and make it a quality game.

@@neonwhitea.1548 The game is coded on PC. PC always gets released first, because, well, it's on PC. Consoles use completely different libraries and asset banks and you need to completely restructure things for the code to function. This goes to both consoles, making it super hard. Plus, the new consoles are coming out, making it even worse because they have to do it on four separate consoles. Stop being greedy.

They obviously struggle with bird mechanic 's or they would add pheasants like they had in classic
There are many bird species we want but they dont add red deer has been repetitive because the guy who made the game apparently hunts them id like pheasant dove and partridge which are all in new zealabd including turkeys but there even getting boring because i like to shoot stuff out of the sky like ducks that fly over head they need to add a benalli shotgun that you can add a choke to so you can shoot bird shot atleast 100-120 yards
@Live Action Sonic i dont like to use the merdian scope but you are right it does act as one but its weird that they dont put in enough time into designing new guns for the game as maps are somthing we ask for even though they usually dont take our suggestions recently i shot a diamond bear abd si did my freind we think there either broken or just that hard to get considering there 9 legendary i lost my old lodge which had all kinds of rares but i continued to play and quickly gained what i lost other then a diamond coyote
This music is so beautiful that I push the repeat button and I think is one of the best and beautiful theme in the reserve in COTW thank you EW for this nice melody. Always go in the outpost when I play just to listen this masterpiece beautiful theme.

I imagine a map based on the west coast of Norway. Picture a deep, narrow fjord on one side of the map. Steep, forested hillsides with little farms, small pastures and gravel roads. Beautiful fall colors everywhere and snow capped mountains surrounding you. In the hillsides overlooking the fjord you could hunt Red Deer, Roe Deer, Red Fox, Hare and Capercaille. Then Imagine a mountainous landscape on the opposite side of the map. I picture a valley stretching from the hills above the fjord and extending above the treeline and into the surrounding mountains and overhanging sharp peaks, and just imagine a mighty glacier in the upper end of the valley! In the valley and the surrounding mountains you could hunt Moose, Reindeer, Wolverine, Grouse... I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. :)

Really wish if they would add a bit of a survival aspect in the game, hunger, and thirst, canteen water gathering from rivers, cooking food, separate skill tree, maybe even food boosts from that. Another option for harvesting parts of the animal etc... Also a hound, dog. Little buddy to keep you company and hunt with you, with few commands you can issue. Then this would be perfect.

I’m a console players myself but I don’t even think I’m gonna buy this map until they fix all the bugs in the game that exist right now. I mean I was playing the game the other night and it’s barely even playable right now. These guys need to chill with making the reserves and they need to fix the game first.

@@bucko9264 I tested it by shooting another animal and there wasn’t a single drop of blood on the ground. Fortunately I found this one. I mean, I still play the game but I was just pointing out that there are a few bugs in the game right now that I’d like to be fixed. Or it could just be my ps4 is acting up idk😂
