- I am sharing why I think the VHM-314 Bluetooth Receiver Board Module is one of the best but also cheap. This board will be great for your bluetooth portable DIY speaker projects or just adding bluetooth to an old sound system.

Proud to have this about 3 month ago!
Got it for 54 php and i use it for old model amplifiers which dont have bluetooth so this little thing saves time and efforts.

glad I bought two at that time so I have extra when needed...
because all recent stocks of this doesn't have the same good IC as before. new releases noticeably have less pins on IC and there's voice prompts instead of beeps only. 😅

Can i use it as a Bluetooth module for my headphones or would i need a mini amplifier?
Can we take ouput from both the output points of this module at a same time
Can i use this as a replacement board for a broken Bluetooth speaker? I'm planning on soldering the speakers to the L R and Ground solder joints and the battery on the 'bat' indicated solder joint
You need an amplifier. Otherwise, the sound won't be loud.

bro, recent stocks from different sellers have voice prompts now.
you should ask the seller for the actual picture of the unit and compare the number of pins.
if less pin count on ic then it has the talking prompts. it should be as small and as many as the one on the video.
Hi, good to know and this is what I am looking for Tnx. for this informative video However, you've forgot to mention the most important detail of the whole entire video. What is the chip number as is written on the chip. This is "critical" for a big majority of people since maybe someone (like me) is actually looking to buy just the chip on its own not the rest and perhaps integrate it on a DIY project. Or...it could be that this particular chip is installed on a variety of other boards that have different topology and/or facilities on it. So, again, knowing the actual chip markings is "CRUCIAL". I had this board for so long and it had low volume issue. After long time I revisited the board and inspected. As you can on 00:03 , C7,R3,C6, C9 is messed up. They soldered caps in position of resister and via versa. I currently doesn't have wondering station and I don't know the correct values to replace.
With an amp or without? You need to use an amp with stuff like this.
Can I connect a battery? And if so will it charge it? By the board? If connected to a Micro USB?
Yeah this board also have function to charge lithium-ion battery by connecting with micro usb
Will I need to run in through a small amplifier chip or is it loud enough stock?

I haven't tried any yet but I'll upload a video if I find a good one with a reasonable price.

I've been using "Poweramp" it's not free but you only pay once.
They have trial version you can try for 7 days before you actually buy it.
I have used others but I enjoy using this one more.
When you connected it, it says calls and audio. Which means you can use it for calls. But does it have a mic installed in it? Or is there a spot where you can connect mic?
does not have a mic and I haven't tried installing either

You can edit the name but that's only for your phone. I don't know of any other way to change the name permanently.
I'm using Android so I don't know if that's the same for iPhones.

does this support AAC bluetooth codec?
vhm-314 uses SBC only.

and what is the frequency response of this chip ? eats away low and high frequencies ?
alright, decided to test it by myself, the audio quality is plain useless in these. dramatic rolloff at lower frequencies (possibly higher too), cataclysmic distortion, stereo separation is not what it is supposed be in stereo sound, possibly resonant peaks, audio image is completely wrecked to oblivion, hissing/buzzing noise even from clean psu. these are complete waste of money/time. the only positive thing about these is that there is no chinese lady saying "bluu tooot divaice s nauwh khonnekted".
mine sounds fine, probably you got a clone.
hey thanks for that, i tested another one and it's much better (however this is not hifi quality and has nothing to do with the word 'best' that you are using - biggest problem with this is distortion/wave clipping that is very present in lower frequencies [dilemma very common in cheap class d amps]) @@TaylorSoloaiJR
can i remove the lady voice from my old Bluetooth speaker? if there's a trick to disable it, please let me know
unfortunately I have not found an easy way to remove it from any bluetooth speaker

No noise if it has it's own battery. Meaning you can't connect it to the same power source that the power amplifier is connected to.
@Taylor Soloai yes, the ground loop effect is d culprit. What if power the microusb slot with phone charger on d same wall plug?

ON/OFF switch will be between the module and the battery

Yes, but you would need to use it together with a ground loop isolator

It will destroy the board if you use 12V

It is recommended to use 3.7v - 12v if you're gonna use like 12v that is if you use 3.7v stepup to 12v run to an AMPLIFIER that uses 12v. because sometimes the amplifier boards requires 12v power

I don't recommend it, it has the worst performance in sound, it loses quite a bit of volume, it's just misleading advertising,

Hello! i searched in weeks, but only found chinese programs and programmers for JL chips. I have older (MH-M18 PCB) Can u explain what can u do? :)
@@Sagazoo It all depends on the task at hand. I've been studying these chips since 2016. For example, you can change sounds, add/remove a display (OLED or LED or LCD), keyboard, remote control, memory cards, make it work as a bluetooth transmitter, and much more
