I went into this video thinking there's no way I understand anything in 4 minutes. ended up being completely wrong. Thank you so much for this explanation. couldn't find any other explanation as good as this.
Yeah I get that - feels like some vids out there are more firing from the hip or just making a video to get one out there. I'm really trying to focus on making sure that the videos I put out are truly helpful to folks in a way that's respectful of their time. Still working on it, but was happy with this video!
@@ianpropst-campbell6028 This video might be helpful? th-cam.com/video/qr-gS0AyrI8/w-d-xo.html We discuss closures a bit, but it's more in terms of data-privacy and API design. Maybe I'll go into that a bit more in future videos though!
@@Supaship6000 The "problem" I think is that the call stack and the heap were introduced at the same time - which means (if you're a beginner) that you have to focus on both the code, the call stack and the heap, all of that happening simultaneously, which is quite hard. I would advise explaining step by step, first explaining what the code does, then showing how it behaves in the call stack, and then seeing what goes on in the call stack. Video would probably be 3x as long but it would be much, much easier to follow and clearer IMO
Hello, I was looking at your video channel. We may be helping a company that uses secure images to increase supply chain security and help cloud native development. Would you be willing to help try their software, make a video, and help show devs how to use their tools? This is not an offer, but just to start a conversation about your willingness to take on sponsorship. Please provide me with your email if you are interested. You'd have a chance to look at their technology and decide if it's the type of software that you'd be interested in covering in your channel.

Awesome!! Yeah I'm hoping that this could become the defacto video to understanding the JS event loop! Hope it'll be helpful for your student!
I really appreciate the clarity of your content. Many things I see seem like the author doesn't really get it and just wanted to seem like they do.
