You are the only one that help me understand the taxonomies in CPT UI. All the other videos that I saw they just showing the basic things. Thank you very much !!! Keep making quality videos!
@@wplearninglab You 're welcome too! Do you have a video on how to make filters of these custom fields. I want to make filters like woocommerce products but for post's custom fields. How can this be done? I use ELEMENTOR PRO if that helps....
Hello Bjorn, Is it ok to add data tables inside CPT...for exemple, CPT: Movies make a post called: comedy movies and put a data table with a list of bunch of comedy movies, the category can be called comedy movies? or should I change that to something else? any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Hi Lubys, You can add data tables to any custom post type page. A custom post type can have the same features and functions as any other WordPress page. I hope that helps and thanks again for watching!
Does someone have the links to the following tutorials he keeps mentioning? I've been through the entire playlist of this author. I wish it was at the end of the description for this video. Or were the additional videos ever made?
Hi Bjorn, I’m writing from Singapore. I viewed your video and it just solved my problems. Thank you for this video. One question. I’ve setup a new CPT. How do I transfer some of the old posts to be under the new CPT? Thanks in advance.
Hi, just a random question about blogging. Do you think is beneficial to have a date stamp on your blog? I create a content that is evergreen (style and lifestyle blog). I don't want to post 3 times a week so my posts are recent but not as good. I rather blog less but write quality information. Thank you!
That's a good question. For evergreen content I don't think a date stamp is that important. I know when I'm searching for content I will refer to the date and how recent the post is to decide if I want to read it. Which is totally arbitrary, but that's how my brain works. I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hi Bjorn, The video is very detailed and I like it. But I "think" you skipped the part where you show the "Genre" (Taxonomy) on the front end? It's not visible on your video, so there is something I have to do to make it visible? Thanks.
Hi Afan, Sorry for the delay in responding. Our third child arrived 12 days ago and it's been a bit of a gong show around here 👶 Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it! P.S. If you haven't yet, check out the WPLearningLab Facebook Group: facebook.com/groups/wplearninglab See you there!
How can we fetch the posts created by custom posts using short codes. My requirement is : I have list of multiple team members, but I have to show random team for every courses. So, is it possible to show team with shortcodes with their post I'd number?
Hi and thank you for this nice tutorial. It was no.3 video I watched and you explained it a lot better, especially with Taxonomies. I have a question for you pls. Do you think that an Intermediate user of WP can go all the way through by using these 2 plugins, (including ACP), and actually display them at front-end without touching too much code, (like functions.php or making page-templates)? While I can easily find my way around this plugin and create cpt in back-end interface, I mess up when I try to display them front-end. Any ideas on this? Is there anywhere where it explains step by step from start to finish? It seems to be a big secret out there - how to display them. Thank you for your time in advance!!!
