Thank you I am a Japanese amateur player Aiming to win the tournament Your play was very helpful I would like to continue watching your videos and practicing
I play at high level for many years, but after a left knee ACL reconstruction that didn't go well and a couple of injures, my left knee doesn't allow me to jump when I serve so I started using the slice serve as my base, although with some little adjustments I still can hit flat and kick serves. The "without jumping" It is absolutely true. Great video.
Hi Pete. I have always used your method for my slice serves, but what is your view regarding many coaches on TH-cam advocating that you should pronate on all serves and not carve round the side of the ball? I pronate on the flat serve, but am more comfortable with the method you are describing for the slice serve.
Maybe pronation makes it faster and carving around more slicy??, I would plead to have it explained in more details, this are Pete's and Jeff Salzenstein versus Top tennis instructors
I was playing a lefty two nights ago in doubles, he was serving from the tramlines with a monstrous slice serve into my backhand sending me onto the next court 🙈😂
So many talk about it like yourself but how can the spin creates the ball to go off on the deuce side when your slicing 5 to 11 or 4 to 10 that going to take the ball to the right. Or are you suggesting regardless of the spin the direction of the momentum will bounce the ball out to the side? Please clarify thank you.
Thanks Pete for your great instruction and demonstration on slice. For Pete’s slice method, I understand that there is no pronation, just cutting the ball from side. One can pronate for slice like most pro do, basically hit the side of ball before pronation. But I think Pete’s slice method is more suitable and effective for recreational players.
I had a discussion with a pro who swore that Shapovalov pronated on his slice to the ad court. I think he carves like Pete is teaching. Don't see how else he gets the wide curve off the court.
OK, great stuff but please don't have a video cut from one camera angle to another part way through the serves! How are we supposed to see how it all works together if you SLICE up the film! (edit: uh, I guess that was just in the early part, thank heavens)
Right handers should contemplate learning a left handed slice for those times when the sun gets in your eyes serving right handed. Even a slow paced slice serve that lands near the sideline will challenge recreational players. I always need a reminder to relax. I'd rather double fault serving "loose" rather than "tight."
Peter you are such a genius. this is a great serve!
thank you did you give it a try? how did it go?
As a fellow Lefty I always enjoy all your instruction especially your slice serve. It's a great weapon against righties
4:04 I always do that lol I started doing that on my own and it helps a lot
Nice with tha above head cameras.
It was great meeting you in Cincinnati. Good video.
Thanks! You too!
Thank you

Nice slices!
Dear coach. Thanks dor the video.
How should a good slice serves bouce? High or low?
as a lefty slice is better for you, hope you could have some course for righty
Should I focus on the upper half of the stringbed to hit spin serves
After all was said and done, just how do I do it please?
Wish I could eliminate or reduce stress and tension on

Very weard way to put overgrip on your rachet, but your lesson is very good and thank you for that!

How about standing close to the middle?
Super awesome, thanks!
Beautiful !!
If you could please elucidate on the swing path and pronation on the slice serve.
Thank you so much for the great instructional video. Do you pronate when doing the slice serve?
Loved this ❤️
Love the drone and killer opening graphics. Great content as always!
Why slice serve and slow serve is not popular
Tell me what my shoulder and elbow do!
Can you serv the slice serv in the other service box different than the one as you showed in the video?
wicked slilces Pete

First and second serve.
Wait, 3.5 players are hitting push serves like that for a 2nd serve?
Do you still do a full pronation?
Thanks Pete . One question , do you have to probate for this slice serve?
I think you mean pronation. I’ve the same question too
@@bournejason66 exactly, thx for pointing out
Oh look, it is Sebastian Schweinsteiger!
coaching holding a forehand grip to hit a flat serve
If you are right hand?
you do the same but opposite way on the grip.

Is the grip adjustment 1/4 turn or 1/2 turn OF ONE BEVEL?
I'm pretty sure that's it. It can't be 1/2 a turn, or 180 degree turn, of the whole handle!
It would count - if you didn't foot-fault every time.
Just remember lefties, what you can do to me as a righty in the ad court with your slice serve, I can do to you in the deuce court.
but there is no arm PRONATION...at all
