I would like to leave, but I am on disability, so I would lose my disability. I just have to wait about 10 years until my disability turns into S.S., then I can leave and still get S.S. In 10 years, I will also likely have enough investments dividends and returns to leave. But I've been wanting to leave for over 10 years, despite who is president.
I moved to Georgia, the country not the state, before Trump and so glad I did. It's much less stressful to be away from the constant anger, which has gotten worse there, and also the nonstop commercialism trying to sell me stuff. I believe Georgia might be the only country in the world with a renewable 1-year visa-free program and I live on less than $750 a month here quite comfortably.

Since my pension, social security, and investment distributions come from the US, I pay my taxes in the US, not in France. I'm only required to file here. I have at least double the disposable income because prices are half what they are in the US. I already own my own house, car, and a beach condo here, so I have no mortgages or car payments. In the 8 years I've lived here, I haven't had to touch a dime of my investments. The only major bills I have are extended vacations, my boat slip fees, and my country club membership. ** edited ** and property taxes, which are on par with the US.

I just had an automobile accident where I was hit from behind while stopped and the immigrant driver didn't have a drivers license! People have no respect, manners or discipline, so politics is the least of my concerns. Everything is way overpriced and companies/businesses just don't pay enough for what you do or they overwork you with no OT, you even have to fund your own retirement and that can get wiped out at any given time! So who wouldn't want out, oh maybe the people getting all the free stuff🤨

We are funding our retirement. We couldn´t get home insurance in Florida and had no health insurance. We live part time abroad and part time in our small town in Florida, but it is missing many sidewalks and not very walkable. I feel really unhealthy when I am in the U.S.A. And I am sold too many things at every turn. So I stay away as much as possible. I hope you find your special place that treats you right and where you feel comfortable and where you belong.
