    This is probably the most useful Midjourney video I've seen - thank you so much! I've been trying to create a set of character illustrations for a board game, and making them look the same style is difficult for me. I am starting to explore it a little though. After using midjourney I am intreged. Have you looked at runway? its a video editing software they just dropped a software that allows you to train models for repeated use. Basically what your describing not sure how good it is yet. Havent tried it. It looks promising though. You give it a bunch of photos of one person in different lighting and stuff and it learns how to repeat it. I would think a pipe line using a software like charactor creator 4 combined with this would be super neat. You could generate unqiue charctors that could be rendered with unique expressions and lighting. Then those could be feed to the ai. That would give it some pretty fantastic managable constient training data.

    Hi Levende! Thank you so much, you are very helpful and concise :)
    1. You mentioned several times that you get good results with the term "lookalike", however I could not see it in any of your prompts. Do you ever actually use this term, or only use "looking like..."?
    2. To piggyback off of that, could you please consider posting the actual prompts that you use in the textbox, along with the transcript (which is THE BOMB)? Not all of the iterations, just something that you consider essential. I have only just started to learn Midjourney (how cool is the new V4?), and a lot of video creators SAY the variations of prompts, but very rarely actually POST the actual prompt.
    Many people like myself have to rewind and pause those videos multiple times to make sense of small typing on the screen. It would be so helpful to have the prompts in the description!
    Thank you so much. You're awesome :)

    @LevendeStreg how do I get to this part of Dall E where I can select certain parts of the image? Even with the modifying section of Modjourney, it still messes up eyes and hands/limbs for me, so I subscribed to OpenAI thinking I would get this same option you show in Dall E, but it only let's me type out what I want changed to images created in Dall E, rather than images I upload (and doesn't let me hand select areas like you show in your video here). It also doesn't allow me to upscale the image to use predictive AI to add to the background. Was this only in the older versions of Dall E? Am I missing something?

    I hope more AI content is coming out, the editing is on point and it clearly has been carefully scripted. On the topic of consistency: that's a real challenge in animation where the AI wants to keep 'imagining' new things every frame. You can use a seed and fine tuning of settings but it's still not there. In comics books I think training the AI on your particular characters is the way to go, right? So when you prompt the specific name that's what it pulls up.

      I totally agree @M Lopez. In a couple of years I'm guessing that you can do exactly that, train the AI for a particular style (like Marvel) and train it to do characters from all sides and perspectives. And pretty soon it'll be tied closely together with 3D as well, I guess!🙌

    Unfortunately, the ONLY way to keep the designs to yourself on MJ is to pay $50mth for a Private Plan. The only way around that - which is not foolproof - is to immediately save your Upscales locally and then delete from MJ. I have in some cases waited days or weeks to delete them only to then discover they are still searchable in the Community Feed. Users can also filter searches to show the first four thumbnail results. Even having your own Server (as I have) does not hide you from prying eyes apart from at the moment of creation. So, unless you are going to use, save locally, and then immediately delete ALL your creations nothing is totally private on MJ. It is my belief that there are no doubt a great many people/companies from certain countries that are stealing and using images straight off the site.

    I swear, she must be paid by Midjourney. Midjourney is trash at literally everything: eyes, hands, paws, actually making something from your prompt, symmetry - all of it. Zero useable images from Midjourney if you actually know and understand real art.

    • @LevendeStreg
      @LevendeStreg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha… I assure you I’m not. I’m way to small a channel for that😉 - and yes v3 has trouble hands. So does v4. If you can’t fixt it with DALL-E or in painting in Stable Diffusion, I just draw them correctly myself.

    • @meatmeep3462
      @meatmeep3462 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LevendeStreg I mean, I can't understand why you defend it. It doesn't have "trouble" with hands. It can't draw hands, full stop. It also can't draw paws. It also can't properly draw clothing, details in landscapes, or just about anything. It DEFINITELY cannot draw eyes and make them actually round, or round pupils, or centered pupils, or even symmetrical features on a face. It produces I'd say, on average, 1/1000 images that are actually HALF useable, and even those you have to spend a lot of time and effort fixing. After all of that, you still have an image that is objectively worse by MILES than what an artist could manually draw in the same amount of time. I'm surprised an artist like yourself is supporting this, given the fact that Artstation and DeviantArt are absolutely ruined and flooded with crappy AI "art". I hope they ban the hell out of Midjourney, and that's coming from someone who uses it on occasion to workshop ideas.

But I’m always trying to improve my creative workflow. And I can see that AI has a lot to offer. We already use it in Photoshop most of the time. I really Iike out-painting and in-painting. I really se the use of that. So I’m not defending it. It will get a lot better fast. I’ve looked into the way the datasets are created and the way the engine works. And this is really a great tool😊

      Thank you kindly, @Reginal Molehurst for your comment. I am not American, I am native Danish (small Nordic country where the Vikings come from). I do, however have American family, so thank you for the compliment 🙃And the --stop 90 is good for comic book style. It may not be so good for photographic representations. But for animation characters and comic book characters it seems to achieve a better (more natural) results with the brush strokes. Actually I found that --stop 95 works a little better....

      Stop 90 works great for me. And your post is nauseating. Her presentation style is excellent.

      @@LevendeStreg This is awesome! I have family in Holland somewhere and haven't been able to find them. Really want to visit Denmark someday, also Iceland. If you know any Snitselaar people, tell them I've been looking for them!
