West coast cycling is the best coast in cycling ! Hills on top of hills & a coast line with winding roads of mind boggling descents and back into the hills again. Miami is flat as a pancake with humidity as the only real foe when cycling ! The only hills in Florida is in the Orlando area In which I’ve ridden and doesn’t come close to California’s mountainous terrain @Lucas Brunelle 📌
There's a Safa Brian video of a PCH ride, by the time they hammer it after a few hills, it's only about 5-6 riders left of about 40-50 so yeah, sadly won't develop those skills
Tbh I have no idea exactly what you’re referencing in terms of the criticism but from what I’ve observed from your videos is that it is, IN FACT, reckless. I’m not sure if there’s someone organizing these rides and beforehand maybe expressing the goal of rider safety or perhaps addressing some things to be aware of, but there definitely doesn’t seem to be. As a cyclist I am almost always on the side of cyclists and the challenges we face specifically with traffic but there are some folks displayed in your videos that clearly endanger themselves unnecessarily in what appears to be arrogance or naivety. Quite frankly, it’s what gives cyclists a bad reputation and it’s that reputation that imo is so important. How can we expect anyone to respect us when we can’t do that ourselves? A lot of great riders in that group but damn, it only TAKES ONE.
the rides are that way on purpose, you can tell they are pretty fit (the guys at the front) and experienced, but the chaos is confusing, I get what Lucas as saying but isn't appealing. Take chances in a race not in a group ride.
That opening shot with the Miami skyline in the background is fantastic.
Love that wide bike lane. Here in Czech Republic we have like 1 m wide bike lane lol.
bus lane ;)
Exactly hehe
Too many cry babies in cycling.

Seems like we have a East Coast/West Coast issue here

up the Lucas! Up the Miami riders! Great vid..
Why is a bicycle on the left shoulder on a highway? We don't do that in New York. Seems very careless and dangerous.
