I'm a gemini with cancer rising, moon in the 12th house 🏡 untill 35 it was alcohol, romance, lots of fire but also depression. My only goal was as a young person was to live abroad (it happened, but i came to my homeland after 3 years of a romantic heartbreak and my first depression episode). i had lots of mother issues and childhood traumas(pluto in the 4th house in libra). After 35, i went into an isolation, started working from my home and i was comptely alone with myself. No friends, no romantic relationships. I worked on myself through meditation, shadow work, energy work for 5 years.. it was a time of spiritual gifts, psychic abilities, facing shadows and uncovering the veil. I became a fan more and more of isolation and solitue. My emotions' height and depth never really made sense to me. why was there so much pain and drama? Why couldn't i be free from my childhood traumas and live in the moment? Now I try to follow the path of acceptance if there's no more inner work to be done. At 41, i found out that this is all because of my chart? Well, this is a gift and a relief. I know now that my isolation, my receptivity, my depth and my sensitivity is not just because of my childhood traumas and past depressions. It was the nature of me. And that's a relief. But i must say, there's still that gemini in there, always running towards the light and finding this huge drama too much, wanting to be fresh and refreshed always seeking lightness. That adds another layer of contrast. And good god, i am tired.

Wow. Reading this and realizing I have the exact same placements and at 27 have dealt with the same depressions and self inflicted pain. I find peace in solitude but sometimes I feel like nobody cares cause of how it sends very few reach out to spend time or talk. why does every astrologer state that this placement leads to escapism via substance abuse/sex/pleasure etc.? Clearly, they project their lack of experience with that placement onto others. With this placement, I have only had a few drinks in my entire life and have no desire to drink AT ALL. No drugs, not even marijuana. My escape is INTELLECTUAL. I can get lost in learning and have taken hundreds of courses/webinars etc and became a polymath. But drugs and booze? Absolutely not. I’ve always said I was moving to Atlanta since I was 12 lol I’m damn near 30 now and I’m planning a trip to Atlanta and hopefully the vibe is there because that’s a place I’ve always said I was going to live in .. but foreign land is any land away fro your homeland that’s foreign to you.. so me moving to Atlanta is a foreign land to be because I know nothing of it and it’s not my homeland..
