Thank you! I definitely shift as I move through the chord progression, but I try to center my positioning with the middle finger. Whatever I can reach within a four-fret span, I try to get within one position, and then I'll shift (particularly if I'm going down to the vi chord). Depending on your dexterity and if you're comfortable with the four-fret span, you may be able to get most of the notes between the 4th-7th fret just by stretching.
@@RyanMadoraMusic In the 4th Position I can make than stretch no problem as long as I remember to anchor my index finger on the 3rd and keep it there while I play the 5th. I wasn't sure what you were doing because you are so smooth and fast (and I forgot I could slow it down). I am just always looking for ways to improve!
I just couldn’t grasp this concept, until this video. Hands down the best explanation of this out there, thank you!
Wow, thanks!
I just wanted to tell you that I love all your videos and you are the best teacher everrrr !!

Nice!! That's Sara by Fleetwood Mac (they do it in F)
It's a graveyard smash!!!! Thank you, Ryan, for your terrific instruction!

Thanks so much, David!
I’m a beginner and this has REALLY helped me! Thank you 🙏
Good as always! When you play 3rd-5th-3rd-5th in the last part of the video do you recommend micro shifting or stretching to keep the notes smoother?
