thank you for this outstanding video of the intros , sadly i only played so long my love on Wii cuz im a sucker for girls with red hair , watched the original anime and played both project X zone games . i wish i could play the original games , tho im really a big Valkyria Chronicles fan i wish it doesn't get neglected like SW .
hopefully lol though cross over project didnt guaranteed the extended lifespan of the series. Dont get me wrong though i still patiently waiting for sakura taisen 6
@@philithegamer8265 Unfortunately sega has murdered it and then defiled its corpse. Its a shame to see one of the best media franchises get tarnished as much as this one...
normally she uses finger-less gloves when using her swords, and her hands are still beautiful without a scratch. Those hand-wraps are just for extra protection, fear not ;)) Anyway, that baby sister of mine is always beautiful, even with the hand-wraps
I still love Sakura, but Kaede/Ayame is really one of the best characters. I could see Ogami getting with Kaede if he never got with any of the cast. They sing a lot of duets together.
Sakura Wars VI suppoused to be in Berlin (only on Wii), and Ratchet from SW5 should be captain Berlin Combat Revue, but game was cancelled probably due to Red Company bankrupt (and developers at that time were focused on Valkyria Chronicles).
But i think they should made next SW in Africa or in South America (or as you mentioned in Australia), because we got each revue from diffirent continet (Tokio - Asia, Paris - Europe, New York - North America).
Raximus3000 A few reasons. First of all, Sega isn't doing that great right now. So they just don't have the resources to make a new Sakura Wars game at this point. It's a miracle they're doing Shenmue 3 (if it doesn't get cancelled... again). Secondly, I think the creators of Sakura Wars are currently working on a new Tenchi series, so pretty much everyone's tapped now. But they haven't officially cancelled it or anything, so that's the good news.
Raximus3000 From my research it's a combination of poor sales, bad marketing, and horrible business decisions. As the Sakura Wars series continued the sales also began to decline as Sakura Wars 1 sold 550,000 units and Sakura Wars V sold a meager 150,00 in comparison. With bad marketing the Sakura Wars series was never able to make it big in America. I swear their commercials for the game are so cringe worthy that anyone who saw them would be immediately turn away. And bad business decisions, this is the big one. The worst thing SEGA ever did to Sakura Wars was release Sakura Wars So Long My Love. Hear me out. Sakura Wars had a strong foothold in America already because of the releases of the original anime, ovas, and movie. So since America was more familiar with the original cast of Sakura and co. it would have made sense to license Sakura Wars Atsuki Chioshio (In Hot Blood) for America instead. Heck they already even had an english voice cast primed and ready from the movie. That explains America but how about Japan? Well i'm not truly sure about the reasons but i'm guessing poor sales is the cause. Now Sakura Wars is just a quick cash grab and cameo series with games like Sakura Wars for Mobage and Project X Zone respectively. Time will tell if we ever get a true finale or sequel to the series. Next year is the 20th anniversary of Sakura Wars so we'll have to see.
The Sakura Wars Chronicle Well Sega has some issues in the recent years, but i hope they turn this around a psn version of the original in english would be a good start for the fan-base.
It depends. If the Sakura Wars fanbase was significantly more vocal, on the level of Operation Rainfall who is responsible for the most part with getting Xenoblade Chronicles to us in the west, there might be a chance for a digital re release. If anything I think what would best for them is taking the PC ports, the ones that have the best graphics, translating them, and then releasing them on Steam. I more or less hope they do something next year for the 20th anniversary and not just make another cash grab like Sakura Wars for Mobage.

"If Those I Loved Were Lost" is actually a rather good title to describe what happend between the "old" and the new Sakura Wars game.

Weirdly emotional now, brings back a lot of memories. Really miss these times.

Thankfully, Sega hasn't killed off the series just yet, as Project X Zone & PXZ2 have shown us.

If it was going to happen they would have announced it on the 20th anniversary of the series in September. Keep dreaming kid. Keep dreaming.
