Old binoculars or binoculars, cleaning and repair case

We have these beautiful binoculars or binoculars from the Chevalier Opticien brand, which was a French optical company founded by Charles Louis Chevalier in the mid 19th century.
These binoculars are in pretty good condition, despite their likely 100+ years.
Although the cover is quite damaged and has several blows on the sheet.
The optics are also a bit dirty.
We disassembled it and tried to hide the dents.
We paint the cover with a leather dye mixed with fabric paint.
We give a couple of coats until we get a color to our liking.
Once dry we apply a skin wax.
We glue the handle of the cover with a fabric glue.
We repair the interior with a leather simulation cloth.
We clean the metal parts with metal cleaner.
Then the optics with glass cleaner, drying it well.
We put it back together.
And ready!.
Binoculars or binoculars almost like new.
