    The simple "Table" versus the "Table View" of a Database may cause confusion, at least in my mind. Can you clarify whether your demo uses the simple 'Table', or the 'Database Table View', or both? Why just 4 minutes? Novices need a few more seconds to process and your rapid pointing and clicking with split second timing is just too fast. However, you did give me the idea that I can create an experimental page myself and figure it out by experimenting. Only constructive criticism was intended and based on my 'novice' needs.

    My images don't stay side by side. When I drag one over the other, it only gives me the option to place them beneath, or above.

      Oh gosh @realitismo...I'm so sorry I missed this. If you're on a page and you want two pictures to be side by side but not using gallery view...it's actually the same if you want to create columns of anything. Using the six dots next to the picture when you hover, grab the one you want to move to the right side and go all the way to the right. There is a blue line that will appear, and when that blue line appears vertical, let go of the six dots and you'll have created a side-by-side. Sorry it took so long :)

      @@4MinuteAnswers No worries.
      Well, it worked now, but it wasn't working when I commented.
      If it weren't for your response, I wouldn't have tried again. Thank you!

    i have a ton of images i need to post in my notes and describe what is being said. constantly using snipping tool and then highlight something and find out seconds later i need to highlight more or seperate picture is better with new highlights its so frustrating to have all this extra work to do
    im building my own application which lets me screenshot a certain area of screen and immediately post it in my active note screen. now i need the app to annotate them + ofcourse organise them. doesnt seem possible with todays note taking apps

    Gallery View is not working neither. It asks me to enter a data source. What does that even mean?
    Why can't it be as simple as it's shown in this video??

    When I put a screenshot into a notion page it looks blurry and with less quality, do you know why this happens?

    • @4MinuteAnswers
      @4MinuteAnswers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey MrMovie1935! Thanks for watching. If you're dropping something into a Property Type of Files/Media, it displays it in a small form and if you click on it, it is blurry...and that's a drag for sure. However, if you download it from Notion, then there is no blurriness. I find this a little frustrating when I travel, and I have all my documents in a Notion database. But downloading seems to make it all clear. Let me know if you are seeing something else! Thanks.

    Hello, can you tell me if its possible to import a png into a calendar box on notion on a desktop?

    • @4MinuteAnswers
      @4MinuteAnswers  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @babyruthlove! Thanks for watching. If you have a calendar view going, the only way I know to get an image on the calendar itself is with an icon. You probably know how to do this, but in your calendar, click on the date you want to add an event. That brings up a blank page. Title your event what you want, and then hover over "add icon". This will bring up a box with all sorts of emojis and items that you can use, but you can click on "custom" and then upload what you wish. It only comes out as a small picture on the calendar just to the left of the title of the event. So it's not perfect, but that's the only way I can find to do it. Thanks!

    whats wrong with using copy & paste? this seems overcomplicated

    • @OceanIgs
      @OceanIgs 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@4MinuteAnswers You can't copy and paste directly. You can only download and submit images. Google docs do this better especially if you're in school and you're screenshotting lectures; you can control paste into your document directly which, unfortunately, Notion doesn't have that functionality.

    Is there a way to write over a picture?

    • @4MinuteAnswers
      @4MinuteAnswers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ellie -- Are you asking if there is a way to have text placed on top of the image itself? I don't think there is in Notion. Of course, you could use a different tool to do that and save it as an image and bring it into Notion. If you're asking if you can have text physically above a picture, you can, just type the text and then bring the image in under it. Or if you are asking if you can caption a picture, there is a caption option as well, but that appears below the picture. I hope this is helpful! Thanks.

    5 ways to annotate them in notion?

  • @laclochard
    @laclochard 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I don't see how I can get that database with the 'files' thing to put an image... All I want is a gallery with pictures that work as links, kind of like in Pinterest...

    • @4MinuteAnswers
      @4MinuteAnswers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi laclochard! If you add a picture into the files, and then choose Gallery View, does that not work for you? If not, let me dig around some more, but that's the way I do it. Thanks!

    • @laclochard
      @laclochard 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@4MinuteAnswers The thing is the 'files' option doesn't appear :( I don't know where I didn't look

    • @4MinuteAnswers
      @4MinuteAnswers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@laclochard Hey. On the database, can you add a column, and from the "property types" (which are the types of columns you can choose from) you can select "Files & Media". Notion has changed a bit since this video -- now when you add a column, it defaults to a text column with the header "Property". Click on the column header and then select "Edit Property". Then, where it says "Type" if you click on that line it will give you all the property type options and you can select "Files & Media" here. Let me know if this is still a problem. Thanks!

    sorry but how can i get Gallery View?😰

    • @4MinuteAnswers
      @4MinuteAnswers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey dancing! Thanks for watching. If you already have a database set up, you can hover just to the right of the name of the database and you'll see "Add a view". Here you can select Gallery View. If you are starting with a new page, or a new section on an existing page, use forward slash - g (/g) and you'll see the Gallery database options. Inline is when you want other things on the page other than the Gallery View database, and Full Page is when you only want the Gallery View database on the page. (I almost always prefer Inline for flexibility.). I hope that helps!
