      @@LivinginHoustonTX I love that its right in-between Cinco Ranch (Katy) and Sugar Land. Im in the Pecan Grove section of Richmond, so much more mature trees and non-mastsr planned community but I love that it still has that small town feel to it.
      The school systems are fantastic and don't have as high of property taxes as Katy ISD

    it's so far out from the actual city. I'm not house shopping but I wouldn't settle for this one. Looks great tho. Props to the developers

    If you want the best example of urban sprall go to Houston is what I learned from this channel. Who the heel cares if your 3k sqft home cost you less then 500k if it's 45+min from city center. I much rather live in a much smaller home where I can walk around and everything is a 5-15 min drive away.

      That 59 is seriously nasty during rush hour. No doubt about it.

      There is literally everything you need in richmond and Sugarland with a 10-20 min drive while having something bigger than a closet and much safer

    Nice location between 90 and 59. Great prices. imo, this area is nicer then The Woodlands which has gotten too crowded. But that's just my opinion. What is the property tax rate in Harvest Green? Thanks.

    Property Taxes 12,000 to 16,000 dollars a year

    • @todd2324
      @todd2324 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What would the value of the home be for that rate?

    • @plixie1
      @plixie1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @todd2324 on my quickly inflating house is about 13k. It was taxed at 418k, water tax alone is 1%. Now houses are 700k plus.
      So thats about 7k gor water bill alone? Doesn't sound right, but thats the tax.

    • @todd2324
      @todd2324 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @plixie1 Wow, thanks for the response. There's no state income tax, but it seems like TX gets that tax revenue by taxing in other ways. I had no idea.

    Living in or near Seattle, these home prices make me envious... you can't get a studio apartment in an average area here for under $500k much of the time.

    Does Houston have something against driveways? Most of those houses looked like they only had street parking.

    • @LivinginHoustonTX
      @LivinginHoustonTX  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      hahah it looks like that but these are the show homes so they dont put driveways in for them and the garage is the sales office! yes they all have driveways when you buy the actual house!

      Sometimes 4 or 5 people are living in the house (to save money) and they all have cars. Lots of young people (30-40s) are doing that around Houston now I notice. So some have to park on the street. I know, it looks crappy.

    • @paulorr9262
      @paulorr9262 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Why would you park in the driveway?

      Lots of cars in the driveway and the street is a big red flag for an area. Imho

    Nice hkuses but I don't like the way you both show houses. You do a quick in and out, not really showing the whole rooms and closets a lkt of times.

      It’s our style! We find that most people do enjoy looking at the house, but more importantly, choosing where to live is the biggest decision so we like to really highlight the community but thanks for the comment

    Back off the School district every two minutes. Like your videos but sick of hearing about the schools ever Two minutes. Two times would be more than enough :-)

    Looks like boring houses... large area, too densely built up buildings... then you sit at home in fear of the big storms ??... no basement.... one house fire and the whole area explodes in a short time... long stairs... if you get hurt... difficult problem... and especially as you get older.
