There are so many beautiful wineries in the Helen area. Some are in Sautee, others in Dahlonega...but so many beautiful spots to stop, relax and enjoy some delicious wine. I loved this video. I don't believe I have ever stopped in to eat at the Nacoochee Tavern but I love the awesome reviews and next time we are back at our little cabin I will remember to stop in for lunch. The Stovall Covered Bridge is beautiful and it is also a special place. I met a woman there who's daughter ended her life there. She had terminal cancer and rather than letting her family watch her suffer and wither away...she drove to the most peaceful place she knew of, called her mom to say good-bye and placed the gun in her mouth. You can see the bullet hole in the wall (the mom talked to us and showed us the spot where she found her lifeless daughter). I want to say that we used to pull our RV and vacation in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and in Texas and out of all the places we visited we fell head over hills with the North Georgia Mountains and decided to purchase this tiny little cabin in Sautee Nacoochee, GA. It's been so much fun having that little cabin. We drive the 11 hours from Ft. Lauderdale, drop off our bags...rest up and head out to Tennessee or South Carolina to hike or ride our mountain bikes. I hope that in the near future, you are both blessed and in position to invest in a tiny cabin too.
