  • I had the honor of attending Snowflake’s Data Cloud Summit and Databricks’ Data and AI Summit in June 2024. Although I wrote my blog on Snowflake Summit (link is in the comments) and am soon to publish my Databricks DAIS 24 blog, I am constantly being asked about my views on both these events.
So, here is a compilation of everything I learned from these two events. In fact, I have also added my views on the recent OpenAI acquisition of Rockset.
I talk about mega trends and how both the companies are on a similar journey, but taking different approaches. We look at #lakehouse, #apachehudi #apacheiceberg, #deltalake, #agents, and developments in model training and tuning.
Your feedback is invaluable, so please share your thoughts on the content. Let’s drive this conversation forward!

Although I wish to know who has better position to win in the future (I am a investor not data guy and still hard to dive deeply after reading bunches of their document), it is so appreciated.

Hi Jimmy, this is the question I get asked every day. Opinions are divided and it is hard to say.

@@SanjeevMohan Yes, we are all excited about the future of AI and cloud data because AI is so amazing after using it. Snowflake is especially in good position but also getting in mixed bag situation. Thanks your sharing here and in the cube channel, it is so helpful.
