I honestly really enjoy the try-hard challenges and I thought the commentary was really good and a refreshing break to hear you work through all the resources you have. I'd love to see a min-max week where you min-max every floor (look for crawlspaces, utilize all cards, etc...).

Tbh even if it's a struggle bus run I still really like these types of vids, sin actually having a worthy match against this freakin game
I definitely enjoyed this run. The thought processes along with the challenges that were presented with no chests, coins, or cards.

Idea for next challenge: You aren't allowed to shoot by any means, even familiars and have to rely solely on auto-fire items (items like sprinkler, brown nugget, demon baby...) and any other considered to be secondary type of damage would also be allowed (items like headless baby, toxic shock...) and any other type of damage that wouldn't consider firing tears in any way.
I love hard challenges - One that seems very hard and original to me is to go towards Beast through the odd path complete in the first lap

QOTD: Should luck actually affect machine payouts? Right now it only affects room drops and tear effects, but not on any of the machines. I guess if they changed it then machines would pay out less often until you get more luck, so maybe it's best not to change it.

Next challenge idea: I saw somebody else doing this and thought you'd like it. Start off with 'there's options' and 'more options' and then always take the worse choice.

I like the concept of base isaac combined with challenges! How about a run where no dmg pickups are allowed. Any item that has a positive dmg stat modifier cannot be picked. Could be fun to find the best combo with the d6 or stack tear modifiers.
The fact that you don’t even hesitate to use the algiz rune for protection when fighting Mother is true Sinvicta

This was pretty awesome, but did it drive anyone else crazy when sin was passing up chests and coins?
An interesting challenge idea was where you spawned in 5 items with the rules mod and picked up none other then that idk if that’s too easy or insanely hard
I like seeing the full clears.

Death list alone gave:
0,20 speed (maybe more as it was maxed out)
0,20 tear rate (with death touch, quad shot and maxed tears)
2 damage
8 range
All of this (plus extra pick-ups) without even forcing it.
I think this item in the firsts devil deal is really good as a passive scaling, obviously as a late game item is trash, so I think it deserve its 2 rating in the game.
If extra spawn and broken enemies weren’t so common I would give it even a 3

In response to the QOE, I feel like a hollow knight-esque take on Isaac could be really cool. Still random layouts, bosses, and items, but have it in a 2d exploration world like that
Isaac in full 3D, next gen graphics, first person view, would be amazing!

i was thinking about that one post about 3 new angel items from a few episodes back and i think i got it. basically taking good devil items and making them better as most angel items are intended to be that way. have a item named penance stare that works like eye of belial but with a luck based tear effect that makes inflicted enemies create a purgatory explosion on death and once a tear passes through an enemy it gets homing and doubles in damage. the explosion works similarly to contagion so it can spread. 2nd a version of maw of the void that deflects projectiles and sends them back while going off. maybe call it circle of purity . then a version of incubus that fires tears with the added benefit of homing or a positive multiplier instead of the .7 of incubus. maybe a 1.2 multi is ok. maybe call it lost guardian. just a thought

Just got the dlc and started playing Isaac again during this steam sale. I've seen people saying that alt path is always worth it, is it only when you don't fight mother and just dip in to the alt floors for better items?

I haven't played the Antibirth mod myself, but I still think it's a pity and a miss they didn't put some kind of challenge or riddle in Mausoleum/Gehenna. I mean at least in Antibirth there is a riddle for the last knife piece. Now those floors (especially Mausoleum/Gehenna I) feel like a waste.

Sinvicta, you know that odd mushroom actually destroys your damage by decreasing your dmg multiplier? Really bad for late game

Multiple times the crawlspace jerbait has happened with Navi, perhaps verify the integrity of your game files? Also guppy's collar said "x1" instead of "x1?"
Sinvicta failed this challenge at the very end by opening the CHEST to start the CREDITS!
