I'm a public transport enthusiast and on some videos I'vr seen, that would definitely give me an edge on country or even region guessing. I'd be glad to help with that if documentation is needed

I find the new 3D avatar waiting room adds lag on older computers that carries over into the game itself. When I'm in the transparent part of the countdown where we see the next location in the background, I see people locking guesses for countries while I'm still 8 or 9 seconds away from being able to click on anything.
I know people will just say, "get a new computer". The point is, the computer I'm using (a 2012 Macbook Pro) didn't have any issues with Battle Royale until they introduced the new avatar waiting rooms two or three weeks ago. Turning off animations reduces the lag a little but it's definitely still lagging compared to before.
i do have similar problems with a good computer. these aren't hardware problems, it is just spaghetti code

That teal van in the Denmark guess is a postal van for the company Post Nord (as is also readable if you strained your eyes), which is quite recognizable. I do think they might operate in other Nordics, though.

17:15 Pavement is very distinct to Denmark. Also, you´re excused since you aren´t Scandinavian, but the blue lorry saying "PostNord" (PostNorth) is some postal service here in the Nordic countries. Tough to see the letters here in the nmpz round though. :)
I enjoy and get a lot of education from your videos, I just want to express my feelings towards this one.
"Smurfing" (when you play at a level far below your standard) are in most modern games considered annoying/unenjoyable/irritating for those that encounter smurfers..it's even bannable in some of the bigger games like dota2, as an example. I'm just trying to say that it ruins the experience for those that are at that level, since they probably dont have a chance to win the game.

You may want to traceroute to the geoguessr royale servers to figure out where it's having issues

Every time I do those games, my 1100+ ELO from duels dips into the 900s.

I had that same Chile road with yellow line today and I was so confused as well. Although I played A balanced world so hard rounds are more exepted.
Okay so it wasn't just me who has had the lag with BR lately - love the game mode but my word, the lag kills me HAHA
Next Thai goat challenge: GeoGuessr duels but once you guess a country once in the video, you can never guess it again

I always plan some unranked BR distance to warmup for duels. Great to see some of the other modes just for fun!
Also distance tactics - on the NZ one I'd always get my first plonk early and then hover the second until they guess. You can always instantly guess after they do and then they panic while you've had plenty of time to think about your second
