These Montero/Pajero's are heavily underrated. I had a 1990 Montero, one of my favorite vehicles I've owned. 250,000 miles still going strong. Sold it to a friend. Reminded me of an old Volvo- absolutely solid.

These are awesome little trucks. My parents bought an 01 Montero new and it is still running strong.
Edit: It has almost 200k miles

The reason why the bush bar has black type is because to reduce as much unwanted headlight reflection as possible. This can create a distraction when driving at night.

"pajero" in Peru that would be a very funny name. but is a nice truck.

I had a 94 super exceed 2.8 intercooler turbo. It was an excellent towing vehicle. I absolutely loved mine. Mine had all the bells and whistles. A Japanese import vehicle that I did have a high motor insurance policy . Mine was pretty much rust free. The only thing I done was install some modern seat covers as it came with grand dad hideous jumper stylee!.... This is a rough version. Most are well kept and with regular maintenance will last forever.....oh in Spain, where my parents lived and the car drove to often 'Pajero' is a naughty swear word....oops!... comprehensive manual is available for around £15.

Derek, the driver front tire is likely its original spare. The rest of the tires look worn a bit more, so they are likely much newer. You can’t put 100k kilometers and still have the original tread thickness left on them. Just my guess

The 4d56 engine is much more reliable with turbo intercooled version or non turbo, cause this 4m40 engines get vested quickly and very much costly on repairs in the south east Asian content...

Its for turn-signal and hazard light, they have this designs(same with Land cruiser 70/90 series) because the spare Tire covers the tail lights. It's actually functional.
