Super fun video Dan! Really cool saw! I really enjoyed watching and seeing you gettin the olde iron goin! I Always Appreciate visiting your shop buddy! Take good care! Andrew from NB :)
I was the same way thought mine was junk but after working on it the saws were way ahead of there time iv cut a trailer load of locust now that some hard wood it done great
There also a duck bill in the middle oil line going to the tank if that goes bad tge saw will smoke horrible that line goes to the crank case by the reeds mine got the power sharp I will never use bad way to sharpen one think takes a certain chain for them
Cool old saw. Vacuum powered headlight covers were cool on 67 cougars and rs camaros- loved it when they got 5 years old and only one cover would operate.
Dan, I really dig that con-rod tat on your right hand! I’ve never seen anything like that. It’s just so…FRIGGEN AWESOME 😉🫡 That self sharpening system required a “Barracuda” chain. At one time, Oregon sold them. But I’ve not seen that chain in years in their catalog.
@@KainKustomGarage Don’t worry about it Dan. I’ve got a few saws AND they fascinate me. They’re fun to run. I’ve somehow become what a dealer I frequent calls a “chainsaw nerd”. It’s okay because I told him “THANKS for your complement”! 🤭
I’m just getting into old chainsaws and they seem to be really fun I got my first one a couple months ago and it is a poulan 361 do you know anything about those saws I can’t find to much info about them.
Hello Clark, I have a 306 Poulan that I haven't dug into yet...check out the Chainsaw Collectors Corner website...Huge catalog of information on there😊

Old saws are Awesome!
Cool old saw. Vacuum powered headlight covers were cool on 67 cougars and rs camaros- loved it when they got 5 years old and only one cover would operate.

It’s so hard to find those with a good air cleaner cover. I have one that I need a cover for. I only picked it up because it has a roller nose bar
I know right, this one is cracked but still looks ok...lol
Cleaned up like new! Sounds good too.
She's a keeper!

Interesting 🤔

Way cool. Seems like a fun project
It is and was....lol
My orange sears ranger does real good paint coming off of mine some I had acedent with acetone lol
Those old Craftsman saws don't have much of a following, but they're cool little saws! I like it...and 60cc!
I know right, they sorta got a bad rap...but they had some quality stuff back then 😊

Mine orange saw the comp relief is on the mufler side has a linkage
That's a really nice saw.

Yessir 😊

Took me a while to figure it out...lol
A saw from when Sears was SEARS!
Yessir!😉
My old XL is the easiest cold starter of all my saws, hands down.
I've noticed that too, they all seem to start well
@@KainKustomGarageIt’s because they are fuel hogs, the carbs have tons of gas in them when you pull to start. My old 031 does the same thing.
Mesin bagus
niiiiicccccceeeeee nice
Thanks Bill!!!!!!😉
sup
😁
Very little use on it
No slouch for sure
