    I just love your content, man :)
    They are so helpful in starting stock, I have learned so much from them, so keep up the good work, I hope youtube gets to be a great income for you.
    I just wanted to leave a comment to help with the algorythm, but I actually got a question I had in my mind today:
    When someone buys a photo, do I see it immediately, or I only get a monthly report in batch at the end of the month?

    • @wollertz
      @wollertz  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you very much for the support and good wishes! I have a list of videos to make that should help when It comes to stock photography.
      to answer your question it totally depends on the agency, shutterstocks mobile app I can check every 5 minutes if I want and it will show fresh sales, most other sites tell you right away and you even have the ability to request an email each time a file sells, the only one that I find I have to wait a month is Getty, I never know what sells or when, I just get a check 😅, for the most part they make it easy to see what sells and when, now If you use a uploader like wirestock or some of the other ones that take your pictures and upload to multiple agencies, this limits your control over the images, I believe they show your sales right away, but not as detailed as going directly thru the agency, and you wont find information on the images you upload it thru wirestock if you try to go to shutterstock per say, it all has to happen thru wirestock. I know that was a mouthful, i hope it makes sense 😅
      Thanks again

      I have done that and in my experience I do sale more than if I upload now, you might get a couple of sales this year, but by next year it will be “old buried footage” it’s totally a personal choice, but my experience has been to use strategy and wait🤷‍♂️

    All these years I just realized how my hobby in riding motorcycles and photography might be an opportunity for me as a stock photographer.
    My photography prof back in college did mention that my style of 'hit and run' photography gives raw and real feel to my pictures. Plus, as a graphic designer, I find a lack of specific stock photos, i.e. spareparts and roadsigns.

      Thank you! I use affinity pro desktop for the more complicated edits, the main reasons I like lightroom is for SEO and organization, I used to have lightroom classic and upgraded every few years, when they came out with the subscription based it bothered me 😅, now im so used to the options I cant go back.
      I haven't used photerloo, but in reality any agency willing to upload to multiple sites is going to save time, and time is the biggest thing when doing stock, so to streamlining in my opinion is definitely a big plus, wirestock, photerloo, Microstock Plus /Stock Submitter, all will save time, the only difference might be in the percentage they take as a commission, but it shouldn't affect sales

    Charles, I have a question regarding uploading to multiple agencies. Is it okay to upload the same images to the different stock agencies? Are there any agencies that require exclusivity of some images to just their platform? Or is it safe to upload all my images to whatever agencies will take them? Furthermore, is that a good or bad idea? What are your thoughts on this?

    • @wollertz
      @wollertz  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This can be a bit confusing,
      Some agencies will want you as an exclusive contributor, I believe Getty asks this, getty took over iStock and they have esp by getty where you are not required to be exclusive, but the payout is 15% for exclusivity it is 40%
      other agencies allow you to sell exclusive images and not necessarily make you only exclusive to them, so if you have similar images you can upload some exclusive to Dreamstime and some to Alamy and other to the rest than dont offer that like shtuttertock or Adobe, this way you can benefit from exclusive images selling for more $$$ but not be tied to one agency.
      I've noticed that different agencies sell different type of content so I do recommend branching out and using multiple, or using wirestock, they upload to a bunch and take 15% when an image sells, this might sound like a lot but some agencies like shutterstock have payment tiers and the more you sell the more they pay, a large group like wirestock is going to be int he higher tier way faster than any individual 🤷‍♂️
      hope this helps!

      Most agencies algorithms feature new uploads, so that t you wait and upload Christmas pictures for the following year, say September/October they will do much better
      We work with AI and computer algorithms that either hide or showcase our content, stock or TH-cam 🤷‍♂️ very similar

    • @wollertz
      @wollertz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi!
      If you plan on uploading more than 500 images a month I’d say yes, do it for a year and after that decide based on your results. 6000 images a year is a good start, if you want to do 300 a month for a year which is a lot. That’s what you can do for free right now, but it is also a very good starting point and after a year figure out sales to subscription price, I haven’t had enough time to upload as much as I’d like to, but with only a few hundred images I’m making enough to cover the subscription 🤷‍♂️

    Thanks for sharing valuable information. Could you please throw some light on Video Licensing Websites like Jukin Media, Viralhog, Newsflare, etc as I had earned a good amount of money just by uploading my wildlife videos in one of the website.
    These websites come with exclusive model, meaning, if you uploaded video A on that website, you will not have right to give permission to other third party websites to use video A. What if, mistakenly, one give permission to other website to use video A, then, what will happen, I just want to know this thing.

    • @wollertz
      @wollertz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Each agency works similarly but are all a little different, exclusive agencies all have different contracts that you agree too, so its difficult to say what happens as each agency is different, you might open yourself up to a law suit or maybe they just kick you off their agency 🤷‍♂️
